I'm more watery than women
under the skin
altho' my body's composed
of 6 chemical elements within
and all that remains
to go with the flow
is approx. 60% H2O
and the gravity of the situation maintains
if I stand
on my head or hands
or do cartwheels
(head under heels)
(tho' I prob'ly shouldn't oughta)
on the cranium I'll have water
(hydrocephalus)
then again who knows
how else would I experience
some of those
cerebrum faves
alpha beta delta theta
brain-storming waves

I can’t sleep because I can’t breathe
My mind is bleeding red thoughts so odd
Thoughts like I wish to eat and not get fat
To stop coughing up my blue heart
It occurs to me COVID is the beast
That killed my clairvoyant auntie
And I suddenly realize that
I did not have it harder then her
She battled breast cancer
With chemotherapy and her work laptop
So valuable to her coworkers it was
Nothing for them to email during procedures
So why take her and leave me
It’s not my time it seems
But I am sad she passed
Before shots were available
So I don’t get to woe is me
But I do wish to see her again
When it is my time.

Thoughts begin swirling, storming through my mind
and uproots a memory I did not want to find
and there you are, like yesterday
As if time had not come out to play
No chains are ever needed on this mortal coil
Somehow you imprison me
using my sweat and toil
I am just your prisoner, yearning to be free
Soon the storm subsides, but it leaves nostalgic winds
That keep blowing through my memory
With all the broken images
that are haunting me within
Weeks and months go by, time is never stalling
I hope my thoughts release me from the din
But as soon as I hear freedom calling....
another storm begins!

riding on
superluminal rafts
the supernatural rapscallions
descend with
delirious determination
into
deceptive diversion
observing
too many indeterminists
doing nothing
with too much time
on their antennae
it's inevitable:
derived from suffering
in a brain's
stormy potential
where an abandoned
shopping cart
transmits
hapless holons
in a stationary orbit
above the bucolic
neighborhood
I defiantly deconstruct
the illusion
of immortality
while
cobwebs
engulf balconies
and coffins
excrete spiders
I/he
drowned
in the same
river twice
after being assured
that no man is
a tropical island
in a lost paradise
where the Jovian moons
don't shine
...so he/I
sputtered & sibilated
in an
empty frame of
rambling

I often wonder if she knows
Which way she goes
Before she starts
The path she charts
And is it really all a front?
Not to be blunt
Putting on airs
Like we should care
But then sometimes, she adds a twist
Like a clenched fist
A bitter kiss
I’d rather miss

Within this structure,
my words remain
Each line a fortress,
as thoughts refrain
The ramparts solid,
its moat retracts
All quivers loaded,
as doubt attacks
The enemy constant,
assault on fire
What darkness births,
one phrase retires
The battle spoken
upon the wind
My legend written
—still safe within

A tale of morality, behold the truth, I’m so important
Doing the right thing, this liar brings out discordance
Whatever it takes, expedience, just get the job done
Top guns instruction, when elections need to be won
March up to Capitol, don’t want you singing psalms
Rule book’s out the window, remember have no qualms
Compass changes direction, preempting deadly quarrel
Thin blue line fails morality, no perhaps he’s just amoral.

My mom has surgery this afternoon, a hysterectomy, to remove cancer. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!
He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” Mark 5:34
STORMING THE ROCK
such lonely life in the dumplings,
clingstone as a cancerous mass —
robotic fingers
like a precise hurricane
must excise, smooth out, set straight

The old people crew hastens to bathroom
even if earthquake or hurricane looms.
It’s their mission’s caper
to waste the most paper.
After relief, activities resume.

Sometimes it rains;
Inside your mind;
Uncertain realms entwined;
When's moving blind;
Opened visions;
Lost provisions gained;
As it yet stills rains in my mind
