Storming the Rock

My mom has surgery this afternoon, a hysterectomy, to remove cancer. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!

STORMING THE ROCK

such lonely life in the dumplings,
clingstone as a cancerous mass —
robotic fingers
like a precise hurricane
must excise, smooth out, set straight

Andrea Dietrich December 16, 2020 at 3:36 PM Outstanding one, Kim. My prayers for your mom. What a strange coincidence. My mom went in for surgery yesterday too. It turns out she had a minor heart attack (making her choke at home) but the angiogram(whatever they call it) could find no blockage. My mom is around 88. She has been so healthy up to the last few years. It sure is scary to think how frail they get at that age.
