Narrow Minded
Confined within the steep banks of a narrow mind
is a cryptic river where men stumble in and go blind
They construct reinforced dams that hold them back
from accepting the candid truth, white is not black
Like the slow-moving current of a trickling stream
their thoughts are clogged and clot like curdled cream
What chance do the recalcitrant ones have to accept
reality if they allow no vision of being circumspect
of taking fault and blame for having a closed mind?
These are the ignorant, the foolish ones aptly defined
as those destined to stagnate until they decompose
It's the subsequent end to the stubborn who oppose
a new premise or concept with which they don't agree
They rot inside prisons of conceit, a human tragedy

My Words
My Words
Miracle Man
1/13/2025
This writers thoughts
are word embryos waiting to be delivered.
Born as a whisper, they’re nourished
by sight, voice, or as ink on a sheet of paper.
Some have long lives, while others stagnate,
having served no purpose beyond occupying
this writer’s time.

Easy breezy
Sages who have walked the earth have proclaimed,
that this world as we know it is a dream
but we are blind since our soul has been maimed
by endless thought chatter we choose to stream,
failing to see that we are God’s sunbeam.
Flowing like the breeze, life’s a divine tease,
so each wave if we embrace and release,
simply thus by choosing not to stagnate,
with no demons to appease, we’re at ease,
carried by the currents, to heaven’s gate.

Awaken
By force divine we are acted upon,
optimised for swift ascent of our soul,
wherein each life breath ushers a new dawn,
fulfilling beauteously our life role.
With the table laid for joy readymade,
there then is nothing that we need to do,
because God Himself hastens to our aid,
provided our heart’s pure like morning dew.
Life’s a maze that continues to amaze,
where if we stagnate nowhere, self-aware,
simply pausing to turn inward our gaze,
poised in silence, with love and light we pair.
Recognising we’re soul indwelling form,
we become the centre of love’s bliss storm.

NIGERIA'S YULETIDE
In Nigeria's land, where yuletide cheer does fade
A yearly refrain echoes, "Last year was better made"
A curse, it seems, that haunts the present's door
As if the past's sweet memories, forever leave us poor
The cost of food, a constant woe, does rise
A negative trend, that brings tears to sorrowful eyes
Past leaders, revered, as if their wisdom, we can't replace
Does this mean Nigeria's well, of good people, has run dry, and lost its pace?
Should we forever pine, for bygone days of old?
Prefer the past's faded glory, to the present's tale, yet untold?
Fuel and transport costs, a burden, we can't define
Monopoly's grip, so tight, it chokes the poor, and makes them decline
The price of meat, a luxury, few can afford to buy
Yet salaries stagnate, as if frozen, in a bygone sky
Oh, Nigeria, land of promise, when will thy people thrive?
When will the yuletide season, bring joy, and not just a survival to stay alive?

Devolving
Is there something in the water or air
that's spreading stupidity everywhere?
Children aren't learning their lessons in school,
vying to be the latest TikTok fool.
As a whole, society's devolving:
a worldwide problem, in need of solving.
It seems everyone is glued to their phones:
no individualism; we're mere clones.
The internet has morphed into a cage,
where stifled minds stagnate and disengage.
Hate and bigotry have gained a platform:
outrageous behavior is now the norm.
We're losing our ability to think
for it's much easier to interlink.
We're banning books, and we're ok with that:
letting the net filter what we look at.
If stupidity's something we can't fix:
try throwing common sense into the mix.
There is something wrong with people today:
AI does their thinking; what can I say?

Don't give up on love
Experiencing life discovering how love works
learning from past choices and mistakes
accepting how life ebbs and flow fluctuates
not allowing the heart stagnate from break-ups
moving on can be hard and painful, but vital
love don't suppose to hurt, rejection do
whether unconditional or conditional love
heartbroken proceed on, you will heal
those feelings can leave deep wounds
don't let it consume your heart space
know you did your best at those time
your unforgivable love will be missed
love is powerful, yet hard to come by
you are born with its natural force
that's why you can do it all over again
again and again and again and again.

Zen mode
shimmer of thought forms
conjured by will of Self
hypnotises soul
there is no harm
we choicelessly choose
such playful reverie in trance
between silence and noise
as long as we bilocate
soul remains free
if we stagnate
there is no escape
save in pulsations of bliss
thus first by activating bliss
by shifting to the heart
ensures success
silence the path
surrender the practice
love enablement the goal

Unrequited
I was once a Romeo
In gallant quest of romantic love.
For sake of which I wandered far afield,
Past mills and quarries, foundries and farms
Where good folk tend their business
And useful things get done.
As spring gave way to winter,
I found the climate daunting,
With freeze and thaw displacing by upheaval
My belief in happily ever after.
My confirmations became suspicioned,
And my satisfaction curiosified.
My ratifications were soon dutifully amended
And my achievements ambitioned
To a more sensible view of reality.
Having suffered hard time in the punishment block,
Where one’s thoughts then tend
To either stagnate or germinate,
I arrived at this one eternal paradox:
Only fools dare ever fall in love,
While only love can save the foolish from themselves.

cessation
cravings of form consumed me
oh how I wished to be free
although organic form is but dust
I am torn between divine love and lust
so as to become self-aware
I decided to stagnate nowhere
releasing each impulse as soon it arose
remaining vibrant in blissful repose

Blue pill or red pill
Ego, the glue that makes us cling,
thereby causing us to stagnate,
amidst dream images conjured
by fickle heart, to add some bling
to chaste soul, prone to be sedate,
bleating until its cries are heard.
Poised in the void, we witness this
playoff between ego and soul,
with the former attached to form
and luminous soul drenched in bliss.
Thus if we live on ego’s dole,
we’re blown like a leaf, in life’s storm.
Now that we know this, what’s our choice?
Heeding love’s voice, let us rejoice!

Zen mode
mental associations mitigate effervescence
interfering by manifesting desired outcome
so looking nonchalantly at these stirrings
we reject ego’s counsel rooted in ignorance
a constant watchful eye and tranquil heart
sets soul free from the tendency to stagnate
thus moment by moment, shedding resistance
in agendaless vibrance, we dwell in the void

Sapphic Ode to Freyja
I hail Freyja, cat swain and Seidr’s Grand Dame
Goad me to pen mystical poems heart-felt
Vanir Goddess ,teach me trance, wisdom I aim
Witchcraft and wealth
Writing poems do flow when I think of thee
Vanir Goddess,Mistress of the Slain I do hail
Freya what I state is true please be near me
Freyja does not fail
Freyja,Ottr’s tale ,it gives me hope I say
Can you restore my legs so I can walk to ?
How can I pay Thee Grand Dame I do convey ?
I will pray to you
Vision Giver help me with my core sight
For years my mind does see black it drives me , mad
How can I pay you? Will verse and art be right?
Dame of love I add
Freyja one last bid make the US vote Jill Stein
Red and Blue are stagnate I do thus proclaim
Under Jill Stein ,US will shine ,that’s no moonshine
Grand Dame of Galdr I do claim
