What are ploits

What are ploits and why do they have so many exs
Shouting claim overtly loud
Shall I ex……………………..pand
It’s plain
That Squelchy ex
Tend to give hugs
This one ex is cruciating
Clever when I am pert
Trod when I meant to Trude
Breathing with my exs sighs
Begone fish and old friend
Perfect act ex

Forget - Me - Not

Awakened by Hyacinthoides’ bell,
the riverside carpet starts to swell
as tiny blooms; hues like skies;
wink open nephophilic eyes,
to gaze where roving lovers, hover;
flowers to gift to one another.

Legend says, in days of old,
a knight in armour; strong and bold;
walking with his maiden fair,
picked a bouquet to adorn her hair,
his foot slipped on that squelchy bank
and weighted down he quickly sank.

As he threw those blossoms from the pool,
she caught them in her reticule,
and raced towards the waters edge,
where he; drowning; gave his lovers pledge.
With a final bubbling, “forget - me - not,”
those flowers became a love mascot.

The Cooling Cloudburst

As lightning brights the meadow
And thunder dulls the air;
I feel it still,
A stormy chill,
An aura everywhere.

I wander o'er the pathway
And paddle through the rain;
My bootheels squash
The squelchy wash
Along the puddled lane.

My face refreshed with teardrops
The clouds have wept from high;
They gently wet
My eyes, and yet,
They barely seem to cry.

I dance on midst the moisture
The hail sends down to earth;
I sense the beat
Beneath my feet
And sing for all I'm worth.

But then the fulgid sunlight
Warms the land once more;
I'm home to you
As I step through
A rainbow's archwayed door.

More Than 50 But Whos Counting

Where the black berates the whites
and barricades are crossed
that colour without
when rain gathers for release
like a slightly grubby fleece
that squelchy grey that matters
the outsider that pines for other hues
the memory it confused
Shadow contorts its form
intense in its opinion
bland has joined the band
The future aint bright
its lazing in the shades

A Seagull Named Ted

Edward his name ~ his mates called him Ted
Aiming his gift on the top of my head
Landing with a squelchy plop
Would his kindness never stop
His unwanted gift was starting to spread

Sat in the sun in my new crocheted hat
With Ted proudly viewing his gifted splat
On summoning his mates
As he proudly demonstrates
Reaching his target Ted sure has the knack

Premium Member Ice-Cream Tree

The tree was like ice-cream
with wavy, undulating lines all pink.
The ice-cream was like a tree.

I sucked it from the top
and watched the pink all squelchy,
my ice-cream like a tree.

So yummy was my tree
and I did not want it to end.
The cold was on my lips,
my tree like cold ice-cream.

The Guide

With me...
Walk... Don't be scared...
Follow my footsteps..
The path is rugged,
And strewn with squelchy mud..
I've walked through here before...
Though, with no guide..
I fell into the mud...
Rolled in its squalidness..
Soiled my innocent spirit...
But...
I regained my lost footing..
And rediscovered the trail...
Thus, I reached the end of this road..
Listen to my voice...
Pay humble attention..
Every step I take...
Every move I make...
Wherever my feet leaves its imprints..
There should yours be...
I speak from a wealth of experience..
My travails, had not the prerogative
Of such benevolent guidance
And almost an assecuration of conquest....
I fell...
And rotated in the mire..
That you, may not fall..
All you need do...
All you need do...
Is listen to my voice..
And heed its instruction..

This Thing

I carry round this heavy Thing,
a glompy, gloupy lump.
I’m told it helps me move around
and sometimes helps me jump;
it ticks and tocks, both day and night,
just like some squelchy pump.

I carry round this soggy Thing,
it sits inside my chest;
good care I need to take of it,
I’m told it’s for the best;
and if I feed it fatty food
I hear it might protest.

I carry round this joyous Thing,
I’ve had it from the start;
and since you are my Valentine
it is my wish to part
and give to you this special Thing,
it’s called “My Loving Heart”.
