Hahaha, as I told Tom, I did actually have a seagull land on my head as I was sitting on the seafront. It must have looked hilarious to others sitting down at the cafe. They are such enormous birds with very long beaks! But at least he didn't get my tuna baguette, Haha. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

Nice one Ann, did you read about that little dog that a seagull carried away, they're quite vicious birds. Wear your hard hat or carry a brolly lol. Good luck.

Thanks Tom, yes read about that dear little dog, how awful, but not surprised as those herring gulls are enormous and could quite easily carry off a small animal! I did once have a seagull land on my head as I was sitting at a seafront cafe with a tuna baguette. It was so weird because I suddenly felt pressure on my head and the next thing I knew it was on the table - mind you it must have looked hilarious to others, haha, but the blighter did not get my lunch and since then I never eat in the open on the prom... Kindest thoughts Ann xx

Thank you Vijay, I live on the coast and our beaches are full of Herring Gulls, that apparently can live to be 35. They are noisy, greedy birds who will think nothing of swooping down and grabbing your sandwich out of your hand! The largest of the gulls they can also be quite vicious, especially when within a large flock - Alfred's Hitchcocks The Birds comes to mind! Many thanks for your great comments. With kindest thoughts Ann xx
