and merrily leap
round in circular dance
upon a verdant hilltop
under enlightened azure skies
in celebration of Mother Earth
and the advent of the Spring equinox.

Premium Member- Dear March -

          March is the month
          of the spring equinox.
          The third month of the year.
          Winter or spring?
          A bit of both.
          The snow is slowly melting.
          Crocuses and
          snowdrops are sprouting,
          after harsh winter days.
          A lovely sign of spring.
          Then come the daffodils and tulips.
          Praises of the humming bee.
          Every plant, every flower
          comes in the same order
          year after year.
          Spring is almost here.

Raining in Summer

I watch my verdant eyes envious as the botanicals blossom in a sandstone sunrise glow,
I am a forlorn figure wandering in my fog of fears,
I cannot omit my icy turbulent tears,
Our short saga of passion much like the snow keeps me on the slippery slopes of sorrow,
Unlike the spring my heart is wary of healing,
I have tried to evolve like my kin as their colours modify with the sky,
But my reckless resilience sits saturated in puddles of pity,
I am perpetually a grey shadow lost in winter's chill,

I sometimes ask the cotton candy clouds to glimmer their cedar joy upon my perils,
Their intellectual gapes tell me I must find my internal self-love to glide with other stems again,
I know you're the perilous storm I sowed, but I desire to leave behind our wilting tale.
I wish to burn these bitter beads of pain, yet like the summer rain, I’m struggling to allow a fluorescent rainbow to shine its rays of hope.
Instead, I wallow in the equinox between light and dark,
I fill my petals with pesticides because they resemble you, I wait patiently for this period of despair to depart, as no emotion can linger eternally.

Spring Sonnet

The rebirth of our world described in one word: spring;
It’s been forever witnessed by divine source tribes.
Trees blossoming under the Sun’s wing,
It’s new life, dressed in green; everyone subscribes.

Every spring the whole universe is reborn,
New Sun is rising bringing powerful growth;
I feel it in my every cell, more life will be born,
Synchronicity is surrounding us both.

In this new world, winter’s grip loosens its hold;
The equinox urges us to enkindle our inner fire.
New cycles, new rhythms prompts us to shed the old,
Restoring times loomed in form of mystic wire.

Themes of new beginnings bleeding in existence,
New life is scheduled to commence.

Spring

Some letters seem superfluous, you’ll cede:
but with no tulips, spring would not be spring.
We’re used to think in terms of things we need.
Desiring counts for more; it bids us sing.

I find my mind more keenly focuses
on simple schemes: the white-on-green of flocks,
or under trees, those shy, but lovely, crocuses
whose joy it is to greet the equinox.

Who’d miss a ‘b’? But bees provide our fruit.
They fertilise our shrubs, to help us thrive.
‘C’ is not useful. Yet no surly brute
would brook the brine. We need both tide and hive.

Some things, we find, we smoothly do without,
but spring’s the thing we’d never wish to flout.

Premium MemberPrologue to Springtime

Written: April 22, 2024

                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whimsical whispers of spring wallow,
     Awakening from nature's languid tingle.
          You were maundering to strike back,
            A euphonic kaleidoscope garden bloom.
Switching back won't suffice this time,
      Changing seasons can't be tucked away.
              In the depths of the spring warmth,
                Embedded in the depths of your being.
Whispered by Equinox, an alias I once knew,
    We are in a nexus by a motley thread.
          In a world so bright, all else fades away,
                  I'll remain adorned in pristine periwinkle.
Premium MemberThe Garden Comes Alive
The melting snow forms streams that join the river
Pale flowers wake and turn toward the light
Bees bumble by with pollen to deliver
Sweet cherry blossoms scent the air at night
The garden comes alive in an array
of scenes and colors rivaling Monet
The equinox sheds light on everything,
it's rising sun illuminating spring
The cherish of the pearled constellations reflect
in her eyes, so wondrous her eyes.
It is the hour of the romance of the spring equinox,
the saints are whispering in their night vespers.
Her muse slumbers in a gown of velveteen dreams,
yet, her moonlight-blessed creativity is such
lyrical ecstasy born from her quintessence.
Her gifts of poetry bid me to breathe them in
with their stardust enchantments.
No, she is not mortal,
she pens of not only love's light and stars,
but of humankind and it's folly.
The blithsome moon desires to stay,
as her eternal face of ageless lover's
inspiration will not leave her timeless poetess.
Poetess, oh poetess, reclines on
cumulus clouds of eventide pink and lavender,
that billows so gently from her being.
Rise, dear poetess, and pen more the
mastery of your words, your verse,
til God's gilded dawn. ~
