Premium MemberGreen Eyed Jealousy

She searched beneath flashing green neon signs
advertising cheap rooms for rent - ten by the hour.
She prowled - her vision sharpest in the night
Celadon eyes of a feral cat, out searching for her Tom.

Sufficient suspicions surfaced in a splenetic jaded mind
fed with juicy scraps and morsels of hearsay.
Jealousy grew in truculent shades of green,
to a height taller than a forest of giant spruce and pine.

Trust be damned, an evil spell cast upon her heart.
Neon blinks painted emerald stripes across her distorted face.
Possessed, she ripped her dress and screamed his name.
Pounded on doors painted in deep verdant hue
all closed to the night's vulgar rantings.

Flashing lights, blue and red, a door finally opened.
Tears fell from green crystalized eyes
black mascara streaked down each cheek
a beast-like mask of caustic emotions.
Caged - the 'Green Eyed Monster' - locked away

Love In Nothingnezz

Loves in nothingnezz
Written X-mas eve 2014
By Joel Thornton

A vicious cycle,
For a splenetic soul…
What currents that drive you?
For what could be the goal?
For friends far between and few.

What Currents possess you?

Our moral compass has been sold.
What an irrational filter to
View reality through.
What will motivate you,
                   When destiny’s legs unfold?
When second chances start.
I can’t seem to break through
With actions or with words.
Why won’t my love scrape you?
Dye cast me in your mold,
In the center of this vaulted heart?

Unrequited and unheard.

I begin to question what I once knew
Second chances and Broken starts.
                         As we fell apart.
A love wasted that is still true.
Never admitted . never told
A belief it was always you.
Belief within a broken heart
.

There Be Dragons

There Be Dragons

In that place where the Earth meets the sky
Where magic reigns with myth
There dwell, yet still, great dragons that fly
Blue unicorn and gryph...

Fantastical creatures cloaked in time
An epic testament
Where the Zepher lifts the fae--sublime
No longer reticent--

Beware! The splenetic Nebulous
Who guards the minutes there
Her exquisite mass is ravenous--
No jot or tittle fare!

Do some planning should you gallivant...
The fae will help you see,
Lilly, Lilac, Aster,Skull--enchant
With such simplicity!

By the Willow Bliss of Yesterday
You just may want to quit...
But don't let your vigor ricochet
Cherish your kismet!

Delight the dragon and get a wish
Show some humility
But watch your heart--his favorite dish--
Your liability!

There be dragons in the twilight of day
Timeless and roaming free...
Seek an oasis wherever you may
And most aggressively!

Secret Entry

New Perception
I cherish humility with delight
and dwell in excessive simplicity,
Impervious to nefarious actions of men,
longed for exquisite pleasure in my time.

Finding cool solace in celestial bliss,
My pain and sorrow sublime quietly,
`til I met a Vixen with lilac lace,
Who was defiant and stubborn like a dove.

This Empress tainted my image, which made
me aggressively splenetic;planning
to fire a ricochet on her damn skull!,
but I couldn`t,due to my perception.

How ironic?,if it were yesterday,
when I was incognito;I would have
pursue this quest with vigor and interest,
time past, that had fallen into oblivion .
It`s kismet!as zephyr moves the willows.

Premium MemberNebulous Enigma

In testament to the sublime
The lily of the valley
Blooms aggressively with vigor
And simplicity in my alley.

The effusive, exquisite lilac
In a kaleidoscope of delight
Is the empress of my universe.
She’s a fantastical sight.

Then a ravenous, incognito slug
Invadeds my moist oasis
Planning to live in impervious bliss
In desalinated places.

Salt is a slug repellant
So I get out the shaker
And in a most splenetic rage
I send him to his maker.

A gelid, glacier-like winter
In ricochet across the way
Has tainted plants I though impervious
A mass of them died yesterday.

Now a zephyr breeze is blowing
And spring aster is in bloom
In an ecstasy of unity
In my excessive garden room.

A mass of tiny snowbells
Raise faces to celestial sky.
Ironic is their brave survival
When so many exquisites die.

With confidence, I garden
And with hubris I will admit.
As long as I have a place to dwell
At no time will I quit.

Split (For Rizzy of Sami)

Insurrection of dust
Phantasmagoria of markets
Sagging tiffs
Drunken kisses
Embraces-
                  Obeisance
To the restless wanderer
The once and repeated newcomer.
A monocle
Surveys pandemonium's dais,
Its steps,
Foreboding,
As silhouettes thrust on a leaf,
A branch of hades.
Steps of stealth;
Remote,grumpy,
He execrates everything in sight,
Lids picking slipsacks
In a milisecond of charming flints.
Splenetic stutter-
                             Grumble
                                          Fumble
                                                   Rumble-
                                                                  A boom of pellets.
