Virtue Is More Than Mansion And Great Wealth

If ones honor and word is not intact
What the hell ever else truly remains
Whenever ones word is considered fact
There exists no deep doubts no wicked stains.
Virtue is more than mansion and great wealth
It is the light, the truth, the commandment
So goes the truth, medicine for one health
When rights are guaranteed by government
Hold love and mercy to be way of life
Family a treasure its meant to be
Far, far more happiness instead of strife
Our nation a shining beacon from seas to sea

What does real freedom really, truly mean.
Is it far more than a mirrorlike sheen.

We yearned for rain, for spring had been so dry.
We got wet one day. Would things get better?
The sun blazed so intensely in the sky.
Only in the park’s pool could we get wetter.
Then came the time of our celebration.
We’d sweltered until Independence Day.
A pelting rain caused no great elation,
for picnics and fireworks that rain did slay!
But rain it did, and it’s been surprising
for rarely has it stopped! Eight days have passed,
and everyone I know is now surmising
we’ll soon have flooding. How long will this last?
We’d prayed for rain to aid in the crops’ growing,
yet the sound of pounding rain keeps going.

Premium MemberSonnet: ''O Liberty''

O Liberty! Where have you gone? We need
freedom from the lowest minimum wage,
from working two jobs that make our feet bleed;
from the long nights and weekend shifts that age

us before our time for less than ten dollars
an hour. What BS is this (when the top
one-percent of this country's most elite
rich use the courts and ordinary cop

to oppress us and own fifty-percent
     of America's wealth)?? O Liberty,
what happened to 4th of July, Seven-
     teen Seventy-Six!? Where's Prosperity,

and our American Dream? (We know where:—
it's all in stockholder's portfolio shares!)

India Times

india independence day marked by vicissitude
like downward dive of flying kite

freedom of multiple choices wanning
men out of their element
india independence day marked by vicissitude
like downward dive of flying kite

freedom within, fading
men failing
india independence day marked by vicissitude
like downward dive of flying kite

freedom from coronavirus as elusive as
building merrier, sophisticated india
india independence day marked by vicissitude
like downward dive of flying kite

Tomorrow, Today, Everyday

The hour's always about, just go and seek,
As the horizon's held up, down, around,
Tune in the air tonight, strength of the meek.
Truth everywhere, it's time to make a sound,
Listen to me, listen to me, please, please,
C'mon now, perk up ears, open up eyes:
All this terror, this horror's mine to ease,
Remember, remember, look in their eyes!
I have returned and there's "nothing to fear",
I will cast down all doubt, now "Just watch me!"
I will "speak softly", just "lend me your ear",
And I will speak of the truth that I now see:
  Tomorrow, Today, Forever's in play,
The Future's now, each and every day.

Premium MemberHappy 4th of July, America

Celebrating the many years we’ve been free
Assuring that God is for who we bend a knee
Awakening inspirations to believe in true peace
Knowing that hope of independence must increase

Stirring feelings of elation that comes from trusting
Dreams that will come true with no need for adjusting
We share more than a country, but this precious liberty
Promising our hearts and souls so many pleasant possibilities

Touching our spirits with a sense of truth and a guarantee
Showing us so many ways to work it out when we disagree
Wisdom so strong that it bleeds pure inspiration to discover
Wings of freedom that ring with the truth found in a true lover

Let joy sing so that we dance with faith, hope and love for the USA
Where freedom is a reality that happens when we kneel and pray

In Depend Ends

On the eve of the new call,
wits mated with passion,
zeal donated by conception,
hypersensitive pulls attracted all,
contracts into a horrendous span
as independence made for the span.

But after those,
the cry was severed by greed
seasoned by ills inflected by politics,
as all patriots the new trend follow.
By and by: a swap
as the intended assumed claptrap.

The 1960 independence,
in depend ends.

The Image of My Nation

To western seige we're a stooge
Dancing like drunkards in deluge
We sow our seeds in centrifuge.
What race gladly ruins her refuge?

Free souls strolling behind bars
Brave recruits scared of scars
Fragrant flowers staring at the stars.
Is this who we really are?

Running after the beauty behind us
We forget the bliss before us
Only to find fantasy within us.
Will this forever be our focus?

Dignity drowns in our political pool
Sincerity is scam in new school
Wisdom is sourced from cesspool.
Is criminality the new cool?

Is this just my imagination
or the image of my nation?

Turtle India Finishes Last

turtle india paradox is trailing
turtle india paradox is now failing

women pick grains from cow dung
goat milking men consume goat
institutions are collapsing
turtle india paradox is trailing
turtle india paradox is now failing

staples yield is stagnating
farmer suicides are the worst
institutions are collapsing
turtle india paradox is trailing
turtle india paradox is now failing

laws now have shelf life
laws now have expiry dates
institutions are collapsing
turtle india paradox is trailing
turtle india paradox is now failing

Lest We Forget Freedom's Banner

Let us stand this 4th of July,
And pledge allegiance to the flag.

Though strife undermines our goals,
Let not our demeanor be glum,
For we are a nation of resolve;
And as patriots, we shall overcome.

In all her states and territories,
We honor our American heroes;
For their courage and devotion,
On this day of celebration.

Let ‘Old Glory’ unfurl,
And sing our anthem unfettered.
Let America illuminate the world,
Lest we forget freedom’s banner.

Mother of Exiles

Your eyes say there's a room for everyone
I lost my way, welcome me to your shore
Light up your torch, I'm avoiding the sun
Of fear as I sailed across with my oar.
Are there words unsaid in your silenced lips
The waves churn, the winds gather the voices
Behind those walls e'en thus of rolling ships
And thunderclaps above frightened faces.
Is there a loving embrace known to me
Is there a warm home beyond tall, old pines;
Roots of battles as old as history
Here, is my ambrosial desire that chimes.
I'd sing the songs of heroes rejoicing
Man; so shall the seabird's breadth of wanting.
