They asked me if I'd ever been with someone.
I told them,
I have been with a girl.
I talked to her until the moon turned to sun,
and an absence of childhood stories
became our own tale of normalcy being absent from our lives.
Childhood dreams not yet realized,
because heterosexuality was not realized in them.
We stand at our post
ready to move at a moment's notice

Today my gratitude has it’s own unique appeal
it’s own beauty, grace and charm:
It’s knowing there is no greater happiness
than holding someone I love
safely in my arms
Taunted by luxury, a life of ease.
I struggled to utter the words, “sir, please”?
I’d become distraught by my circumstance.
I saw no way alone; I could advance.
I knew the time in my life had now come,
To lose my ego, ask help from someone.
With all my money, I’d still have to ask,
Or accept my failure at this one task.
With money and self my only allies,
Having no solution was a surprise.
Sometimes our dreams may require another,
Like a friend, stranger, sister, or brother.
With my deepest desire, I long to teach.
Without another, it’s out of my reach.
Pressing a ball,
Will make it small.
Do not let someone fall
It is not a smart goal.
If you press a ball,
By exerting some force
The ball goes down,
We cannot make it round.
Putting someone down,
Does not give you crown
It can give depression
To the people around.
It creates fuss,
It disperses us.
Don't press someone
In your discussion,
Do not hurt them
Mentally or physically,
Sentimentally or orally.
Help others in need,
Offer kindness proactively.
what's not to love!
I'm fun and I'm quirky
unusually charming
I like to be happy
and it doesn't take much
a kind word a warm smile
from a guy who's got love in his heart
I know how you feel
worst thing to say to someone who is grieving
because you don't know
none of us can know
do not presume you know anyone else's feelings
sometimes we don't even know our own emotions
do not speak for others
let them speak for themselves
i need to know what's going on
we're barren over here, yet over there
look at them smugly reading the NEWS
'can you throw one over pal?'
he pretends not to hear me
and looks down the platform
he's pretending to see if his train is about to
arrive, thomas and friends, and it won't be
here soon, so wind it in
i give up and wonder why
platform 1, surely the pinnacle,
has been abandoned of any recreation
although next to my son
is a miniscule glass bottle of whisky
which implies someone was having fun without me there
has peace been achieved?
has the new plastic waste initiative justified government intervention?
how many wickets do we need this morning?
i yell these at the man over on platform 2
i am then taken away
and hope to be a headline in the morning
Everyone slept after spilling their pain
into arms that held them without asking,
while I sat wide awake,
longing for someone who never came
to ask me how I was holding myself together.
If only someone had been mine,
maybe sleep would’ve held me too.
But every time I get close—
they remind me gently, cruelly,
that solitude stings less
than love that leaves mid-sentence.
I never pushed anyone away,
never closed the door.
It’s just that hearts grow full,
and when they do,
they walk out—
without looking back,
without checking
if I had more to say.
And still, I stay.
Still hoping the next one might stay too.
Can you imagine that kind of love?
It sounds magical, like something that fell from the sky off the back of a dove.
Can you imagine that love wasted?
I’d tell you I didn’t know either, but I can still remember exactly how bad it tasted.
A thousand or a million
It's all the same to me
I'll write for you forever
My thoughts in words set free
I know I cannot tell you
Can't say them to your face
But maybe you'll still read them
They'll be in the same place
And maybe you'll look forward
To waking in the morn,
To see a bouquet waiting,
Another poem born
And maybe if you're lonely
You'll read them once again
For you I wrote them only
My love expressed through pen
All I want in this whole world is someone to love,
Someone to hold, to cherish, to dream of.
All I need is someone to comfort me—
To stand by my side, to help set me free.
Someone to talk to, to whisper things to,
Someone, my dear… someone like you.
Someone who'll love me, and I’ll love them back,
Someone who’s faithful, not someone I lack.
Someone—oh someone—help me, I pray…
Someone who’ll love me forever and a day.
Someone, please—ask her not to leave,
For without her, my life is a sieve.
Someone, oh someone, hear my cry,
And tell the girl I love her—the one who said goodbye.
Someone, please someone, tell her I’ll wait—
Wait for her return, no matter how late.
I’ll wait here forever—I don’t care how long—
Because she’s the reason I wrote this damn song.
Yes, she’s the reason I wrote this damn song.
She’s the only reason I wrote this damn song.
You cry their tears and feel their fear.
Why, because they're someone you hold dear
You know they can't sleep because you're wide awake
You happened to be around when their heart starts to ache
Talking with them you're hoping for so much
But until things get better they have you as a crutch
With them on your mind your spirits stay down
But you're always behind them whenever they turn around
You love this person and you want to see them smile
It's an honor to carry their burden even for a little while
You carry their pain hoping they do the same
To be a dear friend that's the name of the game
They called him average, just five on ten,
Lost in a crowd of sharper men.
Grades like chains, dreams on hold,
In a system that worships marks in gold.
He laughed too loud, he lived too free,
Not built for this factory of a degree.
He saw the stars beyond the test,
While the world just chased what they thought was best.
His notebook held more than equations or rules,
It held rebellion inked in the margins of schools.
They mocked his rank, ignored his spark,
Yet he was the flame that lit the dark.
For life's not a GPA or a boardroom race,
It's passion and madness and falling from grace.
So judge not the soul by the number it bears,
Some diamonds are made under careless stares.
To every "5 point someone" out there today,
You're more than the world will ever say.
Rise, not in ranks—but in the sky—
For dreams don’t fail, even when marks lie.
