In the Hours Between

It was in the morning
When I heard him snoring
Like loud like a lion
He who falls from my eyes
Every sense feeling nonsense
Early lights in goosebumps

Served myself a red riddle
Leaving me tortured and energetic
Shooting my lungs to no air
My kidneys helped me breathe
Each cough counting complaints
In a peaceful war against the snore

It was at the noon
When I took the spoon
As slowly as a chameleon
I heard with my idle itchy iris
The solo sweetness of sugar
The extent the morning envied

The signalled shock swiftly slowed
At this cold clock I realised
You'll possibly progress into pains
In cheerful charming your chains
I needed bread! I had bread!
Was then full a hundred

It was in the evening
When he saw me shoutly quiet
In twilight trails similar to noon
All that split my peas into pies
I had no more morning mourns
More morning laughs had me

Premium MemberA Robin’s Song

The bright sunshine signalled a new
dawn,
Lazily, I stretched and yawned,
Not truly ready to face the day,
As I looked out of my window, my
neighbour shouted, it’s beautiful
today.

On a thin and fragile branch,
I noticed a Robin was resting his
feet,
A charmer he was , and to my eyes,
he was a treat,
His colourful coat was white, brown
and red,
Seeing him made me feel glad I had
gotten out of bed.

With his melodiously sweet trill,
the leaves on the trees seem to
flutter with his song,
Notes rise and fall and with the
gentle breeze, the branches swayed
in a rhythmic dance,
His tune filled the Spring air, and
not long, a female came along,
Witnessing their interactions was a
beautiful moment for me. Sometimes
in life, unexpectedly beautiful things
do happen by chance.

Premium MemberA Signal

Your soul have signalled you feel better
So you could call, or message me
I check my box if there’s your letter
To realize again that sea
That lies between us, is too deep
The earth is bordered and too vast
And now of course, you need more sleep
Sleep heals from troubles, cleans the past
Sometimes your memory reminds
About me, but then again
Distraction comes, with all that binds
Yourself with things that still remain.

Premium MemberFree spirit

Restful by the window, drawn to a scent,
subtle, euphoric, fragrance of delight,
presence surrendered, granting love consent,
drawn into a domain, full of God’s light.

This immersion signalled we are complete,
even though at times we may not cognise
fullness of being-ness that’s bliss replete,
since we are prone to weigh, measure and size.

The core of our being is always free
and what is freedom but choice to connect
with existence, unshackled from mind tree,
that we frolic about in joy unchecked.

Who we truly are, we never forget ~
Soul swims in deep oceans yet gets not wet

Premium MemberSpooky Night

Eerie Midnight …walking through empty field,
found three strange witches asking me to yield,
abominable they looked,
brewing, following their book!
had no choice but to those creatures I kneeled.

Were there a lizard's leg, toe of a frog
Fillet of a snake, tongue of a dog!
Frightful castle on the hill,
Who lived there …shivered with chill.
Not expecting a polite dialogue!

I screamed, creepy witches signalled to me,
I stumbled in fright, they wouldn't let me free.
A spooky Halloween night,
Witches vanished with dawn light!
Terrifying things didn't want to see.

Premium MemberBaptised By Holy Spirit

Baptised in an ethereal vibration,
in as a transfiguration of my soul,
subtle tingling of body cell’s gyration,
signalled intent to make my presence feel whole,
enabled by slow motion bliss serration,
cajoling me to make this game, my life’s goal,
so as ordained, with love and light thus ingrained,
my soul presence frolics in the void unchained.

Premium MemberI Dream Dreams

I dream dreams in rhymes and verses,
A poet's blessing in curses,
Vague images pop up in sleep,
Words in jumbles assault me deep;

I dream dreams in rhythmic fragments,
Thoughts quiver without enjambments,
Prompts come in syllables broken,
Illusions signalled unspoken;

I dream dreams that shake me awake,
Midnight muse greets drowsy daybreak,
Ideas cross o'er slumberland,
Muddled whims in poetic strand;

I dream dreams in staccato beat,
Contemplating meter and feet,
Nodding to nightly notions new,
Creative fancy's fleeting view;

I dream dreams that direct my pen,
Grasping glimpses beyond my ken,
Composing fading melodies,
Breathing life into memories.

Arising With Dawn

There was something
about the wee hours that inspired him,
There was something
about the tenderness of the day that invigorated him,
The silence buoyed him to a new world,
The ambience brightened his chamber,
The elements that called him from slumber
signalled the time to go on an idyllic stroll,
The hidden was revealed,
He saw through the fog,
A path meandered through the woods.
This is my father’s story,
His years of craftsmanship abridged,
He stooped,
He leapt,
He conquered.

Premium MemberA Savage Stroll

A Scotsman sat on a thistle,
If it was a flying missile,
He would have seen it in the air
The prickly thistle just sat there
It didn't even need to whistle.

This Scotsman's name was Jock,
Every morning at 8-o-clock
He took his puppy for a walk
Suddenly the puppy baulked
'Cos he had a shock

Something had bitten his paw,
He held it up; it was very sore,
Jock bent down to have a look
And suddenly felt very crook,
Making him fall on the floor.

He had landed on that thistle,
Which was as hard as bristle
He was too stunned to talk
They did not want to resume their walk
So he signalled to the pup with a whistle.

Premium MemberHope I Don'T Go Blind

Now why didn't I do this years ago
Lost a bunch and feel a hundred times better
Obsessed with eating? A resounding yes
Never followed any plan to the letter

Then one day fifteen months ago
The skies cleared and I saw a bright light
It signalled if you don't smarten up
Your soul will be taking the next flight

I'm sure not ready to cash in my chips
Literally scared the poop outta me
So I bit the bullet and stuck to a system
Can now say it's easier to breathe

Bottom line is, the more you put in
Stands to reason the body stores the excess
It was blimp time at this old guy's house
Now I'd even look good in a dress

Now don't go reading stuff into that line
Just a phrase so try to settle down
With these bulging muscles and great physique
Sure wouldn't look good in a gown

“Now this silliness has really got to stop
Can't you be serious sometimes?”
That's asking a lot from this jester dude
I'll try hard. I hope I don't go blind

The Old Fj

Standing up in the back seat
Out with my family complete
Just seeing over my father’s shoulder
Being 8 or 9 years no older

Seeing Dad use the hand signalled turns
And changing gears on the tree without concern
That FJ was there during my childhood
Family trips in the country being as fun as it should

Those days I remember in sunshine
No need for gadgets just the world outside in sunshine
It may not have been the latest car model
But it got us to where we wanted to go so well.

Mind doesn’t know where third eye is
Location signalled by bliss fizz
We alone feel, the soma flow
Scriptures but pose, a mind game quiz

Truths esoteric, if we’d know
Feel the central vein, all aglow
From root to crown, soundless thunder
Agamas known in stillness slow

A Farmers Wait For Spring

Your head upon the pillow
That rest you have before you sleep,
When circling thoughts begin to spin
Nagging doubts begin to creep.

Usual jobs, that swallow time
Some monthly bills and debts to pay
Winter feed reserves all but gone
Livestock sick of only hay.

Signs of spring are signalled now
As days, then grass begin to grow
Right now, it’s quite a juggling act
Thirty days to wait you know.

So close before aplenty
When demand, falls beneath the curve
Expenses postponed until then
When balance lines will leave reserve.

Sleep is really calling now
Just blocked by thoughts of what to mend
But now, they’ll be tomorrows tasks
An endless list you must attend.

Death Took Toll On My Father

He was reclining cold and motionless
Silence reigned as it signalled a torment
I prostrated and remained quiet, wordless
My mother's elegy evoked lament.
As the days passed, he started deforming
Lifeless body lay hardened but mounted,
To the neighbours gathered, went informing
Of the subtlety of very life, bewitched.

Kinsfolk followed you till crematorium
With prayers of praise in warm condolence
Soul shall find solace with honorarium
Through your religious deeds in governance
As the bodily disappearance calls,
Just flash of fiery ignition that brawls.
