Premium Member The Telephone
ring
just one
then silence
Wheels start turning
Just a wrong number?
Just a quick second thought?
Or was the caller cut off?
A nylon cord around his throat?
A razor thrust through the jugular?

Premium Member Is He Dead Yet
Is he dead yet?
The voice seems excited.
Who it this? I ask.
Loud laughter I do not recognize.

Seriously, I say. I think you have the wrong number.

God Called Today
A True Story:

God called me yesterday.
I had lost my phone and was desperately looking for it.
I had an appointment I had to leave for.
I prayed to God to let me find the phone quickly because I had to leave,
if it was his will.
Just at that moment as my time was running out,
the phone started ringing under my couch.
It was a person who dialed my number by mistake!
A wrong number....

Thank you God...

They want to get these numbers right ? Myself having
Stood far above her heavens; amid, the arms of their Creator....
A painful breath it seems, but not really; gazing into their candles this, babylon
Pointing to nothing at all, except, another day in disarray she screams your name once
More poised shall we see calling from nothing and no one rearrange the board ? Wrong number....

...Actually polish with a furniture polish...
Not use it as an air freshener.
...Notice the surrounding wildlife...
Pick any room of your house.
...Finally do laundry...
And separate the colors.
...Strike up a conversation...
With that wrong number.
...Assign page numbers...
To the Internet.
...Watch a special on Hawking theories...
Then call the BBC to argue a point.
...Write a nonsensical toss-off...
Next day, it still makes sense.

You're absolutely Human...
