He spurred belly laughs with every show
Sad when the King of sitcom had to go

Morning Joy
I wake up smiling, feeling bright,
So glad to see the end of night.
I long to catch the bus to work -
A workaholic, never shirk.
I shower, brush my teeth and shave,
And wear my uniform – my fave.
A sunny breakfast, full of cheer,
My love of morning crystal clear.
I kiss my wife and rush outside…
Okay, it isn’t true, I lied…

In reality, I'm a total zombie in the mornings!...

Have you ever heard of a rehaboholic?
They always say that when your addicted
You need rehab.

What Happened
Lived by the sandy golden towans and blue calm sea
Jungle to the bottom of the garden where I would play
She was pretty, young, playful and so maternal
He was moody full stop!
He was absent, a workaholic and cold
Time divided us it made an imperfection
Mentality, relationship and bonds changed
She remains maternal
He remains absent
I remain captivated in the enchantment of childhood, lost....

Club Invites Police
The strangest act by a loved patron:
Inviting police and his baton
Over missing drinks in a carton
Reported stolen by a matron.

Now, dragging down club Electron.
She shall change her name to Neutron
Or, still nice and as sweet proton;
She might be sued if it's "Citreon".

But this is lesson for Miriam,
Who would into a cellar ram:
Loved for being a workaholic
Disliked for being Alcoholic....

Inertia
Short spates of workaholic spurts of frenzied work.
A burst of starlight
That ignites the black,
Blights the black,
Fights the black,
Rights the black
Until the dark silence returns,
Until the frantic moments
Are usurped
By doldrums of daunting inertia,
A vast swathe of offensive nothingness,
A vapid vessel of pensive emptiness,
A quagmire of numbness,
Blindness, dumbness
And a brutal sense of futility....

The Drummer Alcoholic
Steadily beats he a drum,
Heavily drinking stiff rum;
Zestfully tours he a slum,
Masculine tunes does hum.

Later, his fingers are numb,
Not excluded his half thumb;
Decides he then to sit his bum
For an unfinished chewing gum,
To him released by a chum,
When he couldn’t from him a plum…

Later, shall workout the sum
Of how to get back to doting mum;
A drummer alcoholic,
At times, a workaholic...

WORKAHOLIC

Sometimes I feel a little unwell and don’t want to go to work,
Sometimes at home we are too busy and I don’t want to go to work,
Sometimes the weather is lovely and I don’t want to go to work,
Sometimes I am too tired and I don’t want to go to work;

But most days when I feel ok,
And the weather’s just ordinary,
And we are not too busy at home,
And I’m not too tired,

I just don’t want to go to work....
