Saliva Declared Out
Sweat and saliva
The dual to shine in the game of cricket
Saliva caught by virus
Sweat rushed to be alone at the wicket!...

Crickey
A duck that loved to play cricket
Slipped up on a sticky wicket
Of course Tom was there
With Marmite to spare
And a silver spoon to flick it!...

I had always enjoyed playing cricket
Till one day I told them to stick it
I was in at the crease
And was brought to my knees
When a googly hit me, middle wicket...

Premium Member Soozie's in Trouble Again
I heard a noise that sounded like a cricket
Then once again, coming from her thicket
Soozie cried, "I keep burping."
"No," I said. "It's a chirping!
I'm not gonna touch that sticky wicket."

Premium Member My Debut At Cricket
Sir Leonard Hutton famous for cricket
Idolized him yet we played in the snicket
His bat willow three springs and all
Ours a joke no umpire to call
Yet did dream of 'Lords' having took a wicket.

Lard and worthless
muscle, taking a knee;
I think there is more
value in a flea – I am
now certain I would
rather pay for a wicket
than a ticket – and let
such crap flow freely to the
gutter, though another
burden on God’s Rain
I do not wish
nor relish.......

Crowd Reaction
Hysteria,
outcry,
shrieks,
and shouts,
clamour,
rush,
and pell mell,
of crowds,
tears,
bloods,
and,
as they all fled,
it was simple,
that they had changed,
the venue,
for free distribution,
of the movie tickets,
in which their favorite hero held the wicket....

Premium Member Not For Us Now Chicken and Gravy and Baked Biscuits- -
While sitting at the kitchen table my spirit;
Embarks listening my nose for the baked biscuit;

I am invested so heavily in simplistic tradition;
Hot baked buttered fresh out the oven wicket;

Grandma told me and grandpa get out the skillet;
Cause that chicken and gravy for Christmas;

A Wonder the Sky
A wonder of wonders,the sky,
Not that,it is long,wide and boundless,
God reveals it's superb and support less,
The sky is not hanging on a piece of string like a puppet,
The Sun,moon,planets and stars also in the sky basket,
The Heaven and Hell both planted like the poles wicket,
The seat of God in the centre of the sky,
God's wide smile what the wonderful sky!...

A Heart So Cold
A heart so cold "
 A soul so torn
yes I'm that wicket

 little thorn" evil
as the day
 I was born".

A taste so bitter"
  but yet so sweet '
ill come after you

in your sleep
 an unstoppable anger
 screams through

my blood falling
beneath the ocean of love.

a punishment is always
 in my way way
must I try to stay..
When
I'm only fading away.....

The Draw
Everyone wins a free ticket.
There's always another draw.
Some will be drawn to the next wicket,
with those who have plenty to craw.

All of them saying the draws fixed.
Still; they stay in for the hope.
None of them knowing just who's nixed
that everyone's feeling the dope.

One lucky winner to finally come.
Millions awaiting his luck.
Some saying God must have given him some.
The others too jealous to cluck....

Ket Poetry Challenge
I have seen plenty of things never been experienced by an alive eye socket.
I have been through the struggle of filling my empty pockets.
Call me a sprocket.
But I have valid questions.
Like, when will our country restore its status as food basket?
When will I have fresh water in the bucket?
When will I have my next brisket?
With the above granted I will very jubilated like a player who has found a wicket.
How I wish I played cricket....

Cricket Season and the English Weather
Knock the snow off the wicket
Its time to play cricket
With cucumber sarnys and tea

Oh no now here we go
Now here comes the snow
What are the cricket Gods doing to me?

A scarf I will take
The match I will make
Tuck me vest in me pants just you see.

They'll not stop me going
     never mind if its snowing
I've waited all season so see

The ball bowled down the green
      almost to fast to be seen
As it ploughs in a drift - all stop for tea.
