Tears of Joy

Christ wept real tears
for us all, for you and me.
We have forgotten
the true meaning of prayer
and the joy that prayer brings.

The Day I Wept

I once had a pretty puppy
When I was a toddling baby;
Loved her as mum, her silk,
	Fed her porridge and milk
Till aching, she began to pee.

While Jesus Wept

While Jesus Wept

On more and ore sinning we had kept;
Jesus was sad and He wept and wept;
About Trump they say,
Brains all swept away;
God actually let Trump become inept.

Time Crept On and Wept

Time Crept On and Wept

I had gotten older as forward time crept;
People around my grave  wept and wept;
Could hear crowd;
Were very loud;
Am in heaven where I relaxed and slept.

The Great Eagle Wept

It's been a decade but it seems like yesterday the great eagle wept a world mourned in unison, fleet of souls rose to heaven

Wept and Wept

Wept and Wept

Death crept and arrived at our doorstep;
Silently at sea our dad slept and slept;
Where and when,
Never seen again;
While at home we had wept and wept.

Premium Member A Bugle Wept

A lone bugle wept as it wrapped
its plaintive message ‘round her heart

   Why relentless drumbeats for another
raised hope anew for her brother

Is not ours to fathom unless
we close our eyes to death

She Wept In Silence

she wept
  in silence
       onto cascading
             flowers

       roses
  and peonies
       in her wedding
            bouquet

When you left, then I wept

When you promised to be back by tomorrow,
     I believed by heart.
     Since then I am alert,
passing day by day in dismay and sorrow.

Weary Soldiers Wept

eleventh month of nineteen eighteen,
eleventh day and hour striking,
weary soldiers wept, relieved,
as armistice took root
and guns gone silent
raised a stillness
well-heard by
trench and
grave

“We wept”, said the Toys.
“I remember”, said the Dresser.
“I screamed”, said the Lamp.
“I held you”, said the Pillow.
“I failed you”, said the Blanket.
“Please don't”, said the Sheets.
“I'm here for you”, said the Window.

Spanked Syllables Wept

pruned passions bled
clutching callous crest
felon fills fetched
dark dances decked
hoity hankers squashed
taunted thrills trashed

wet wits wanky
sassy sips sugary
nauseating nocturnal nitty

spanked syllables wept
drenching drooling depth
ballsy hollow belched

lusty length lent
porous punctures spent.

Wanky Wits Wept

pulpy passion puked
perforating punctured view
dark dances dripped
hoisted crippled hankerings
sassy seals spent
salient sieves etched

wanky wits wept
damping callous crest
beauty politics belched

dark diminuendo drooled
nocturnal nauseated clue
saucy syllables stool

felon fate's fostered
vying voluptuous triggers.

Wept While I Slept

I had a dream that we had to say good-bye.
In it I kept begging for you to stay, but knew it wasn't what had to be
As I begged you to stay and cried at your feet you looked at me and I could see it's
not what you wanted
The look in you eyes as you waved good bye tore through my soul
As you moved away the pain grew to great and I awoke
You are gone my eyes are wet and I cried in my sleep

And She Wept Oh So Gently Upon My Shoulder

Bring me dawn, soft
like the first
breath of Spring.
Bring me dusk, brisk
like the Morning’s
fresh cry,
like the Ocean’s
spray caressing my
skin.
Bring me voice,
shaped into a
lullaby,
dampened with cars
and carts from Old
Shanghai.
Bring me time, so we
can be older,
right here, right
now, watching the
seconds fly.
Bring me love, when
my heart grows
colder.

And she wept oh so
gently upon my
shoulder.

Premium Member One More Day

One more day I slept serene,
while some where distant bombs
and screams awaken others from their dreams..
One more day I quenched my thirst
while others trapped and feared the worst,
living out war's curse.
One more day I tidied, swept, while elsewhere
children died, mothers wept,
cried in anguish, so bereft..
One more day my skies were blue.
I ventured out with things to do,
while others watched their world unglue.

Premium Member When Angels Wept

As the least of good intentions slept,
the dreams of all the Angels wept.
When from men’s hearts forgiveness lept,
the souls of all the Angels wept.
When brooms of evil sadly swept,
the songs from all the Angels wept.
When over truth false prophets crept,
the face of all the Angels wept.
From lost promises of faith not kept,
the eyes of all the Angels wept.

Even the Angels wept

As I walked amidst stars
to find my glitter fade into their twinkle,
With my dears I was at war
loneliness reflected in my wrinkles,
Few smiles in darkness if life could sprinkle ..

Heyday of life and many promises unkept,
To knocks of heaven, even the Angels wept.

Wept

when she cried
i looked away
i didn't want to see
I wasn't really old enough to see

but then i did
i had to know

oh
oh, what they did to her
i hope she doesn't remember

oh
it hurts my heart
it hurts to remember
remember that I didn't

I just didn't

sweet girl, too much
too much for you to drink

I can't get over you
in that bedroom
in that bed

over and over
one after the other
and you just slept

I wept
and I am still sorry

Premium Member Broken Wings Wept Upon Memories

"Merely whispers, never idle, she strolls ceaselessly, creating passionately." Quote by poet

She wanders,
lost in the soft glint
of the scene.
Floral scent,
blowing her wild auburn hair,
it whispers bird songs.

A white path,
Till front of mom’s tomb.
On her knees
quietly
wept upon spring rainbow blooms
Mom safe in her heart.

A wee girl,
silent in lush green
memories
of worn pages.
Candles dance, as Mom and Dad
watch the graceful swans.

Vagabond Conquistadors
David J Walker

Having wept
	And slept
At the bottom of the canyon
I’ve become the climber
	Of mountains

Where I may see for myself
	The residents of the clouds
And find that
It is a lonely place
	Unaccustomed to the resonances
Of habitation as

It moves on
Without the vagabond
conquistadors
Claiming clouds
in the name of Christ

I have flown and fallen twice
For the believers of fables who
Know only what the hear on Earth
