Wept While I Slept

I had a dream that we had to say good-bye.
In it I kept begging for you to stay, but knew it wasn't what had to be
As I begged you to stay and cried at your feet you looked at me and I could see it's
not what you wanted
The look in you eyes as you waved good bye tore through my soul
As you moved away the pain grew to great and I awoke
You are gone my eyes are wet and I cried in my sleep
