Don Bradman
Every Aussie knows
the Cootamundra wattle
its beauty
a yellow crown
of glory
was eclipsed
by Don Bradman's birth....

Skin Care
She doesn't like her jowls and wattle;
her wrinkles, crinkles and her mottle.
She rubs in a lotion
then applies a potion;
if a little won't, maybe a lot'll....

A turkey was shaking his wattle,
Whilst reading about Aristotle,
He'd forgotten, of course,
About cranberry sauce,
'Cos then he would just lose his bottle!...

Dew Lap
Bojo suspected a wattle*
So James Bond stepped on the throttle
As fast as he could
He reached Hollywood
Where moonlight sells by the bottle

*NEVER FORGET
Men get wattle wobble
but Ladies have dewlap...

A poet
Serenaded his love
By waterfall
An view
At the end
Of a mountain valley
Full of
Wattle blossom blooms
For he knew
That magic week
In spring
When the wattle blossom
Bloomed again
Filling a mountain valley
With perfume
And a poets heart
With love...

Noble, regal tasseled turkey prominent, pendulous wattle, garb of iridescent feathers, and bright red dangly snood. Your stately gait pleases my eye and your beloved, peculiar gobble sends particular pleasure to my ear May you forever strut your stuff(ing)!

"Chatterley"

Scent of rain splashed honey tastes of crushed scarlet cherries
touched naked breeze of soft golden wattle kisses velvet quivering Chatterley
pressed against the wet weeping willow, shivering shimmering bluegum ghost leaves

The Game
Most teenagers love, "Spin the Bottle"
Especially when girls go glottal
But as women age
They all reach a stage
Where all that is shaking is wattle . . . . .

When a teenage girl spins the bottle
It should point out the hottest throttle
But as men age
They reach a stage
Where the only movement is wattle . . . ....

Our Sunshine State
Rainforest, sparkling white sand
And friendly country towns
Man eating crocodiles
Outback and Darling Downs
The awe inspiring Barrier Reef
And tropic Moonlight nights
Bushland animals and solitude
The heat the earth ignites
Rich brown earth and floodlit plain
Earth’s bounty here we sow
Sugar cane, Wattle and Blue gums
Paradise untamed aglow...

What the Fish Nets Caught
she doesn't
wattle she
doesn't walk

like a pair
of nylons
she runs

but i
a belly
bloated
blowfish
don't dare
even to try
to even think
or contemplate
chasing her in a
marathon and
so s l o w l y
lag behind
my pace
maker
and

my
mile
marker

only at
five
and

a

half
inches
that's it

watches her
amazing

Premium Member A Round of Vegan For Thanksgiving
The turkey had a dinner completed
gobble, gobble the turkey repeated
pilgrims in their fancy dress
brought their utensils no less
a round of vegan that were all seated

the turkey wore its hoodie for dinner
introduced itself as Skinner Winner
breast feathers, wattle puffed up
a lady. Its eyes cockup
he was young and was just a beginner

Flaws Versus Flawless
Flawless
Photo shopping a model.
So her neck doesn't have a wattle.
She's perfect after this,
so her feet you will kiss.
Then return to your baby bottle.

Flaws
To the eyes I am a little rough.
In my stomach, I do have a fluff.
Wish you could see who I am.
Writing again my own slam.
For you, I see I wasn't the right stuff

For S K A T's contest....

Swallows Framed On An Evening Sky
Swallows framed on an evening sky
Thatch roofs singing a lullaby
Children's eyes set catch the stars
Old folk tales for tomorrow's scars
It was all there then
And perhaps is happening there again
The village around the log fire seated
Children in old ring games repeated
Since the first wattle hut
With lime-daubed stone gut
This is my Knoxwood, my memory
The page printed with the tapestry
Twittering like swallows in the air
Lamenting my exile and my despair....

No Words
The ‘F’ word floods the floor of my lips in disgust,
everything we built was on sand,
whether castles or huts,
whether with bricks, blocks, wattle or daub,
It crashed beneath the strength of one hand,
Or two, upon your breasts,
your bosom beneath another pressed,
squeezing out my memories from your mind,
like oil from its parent nut that’ll never return.
Deceit, like lipsticks upon your lips,
that won’t rub off e’en when French I kiss,
your eyes wide open, your mind with his....
