I felt used
Than loved
The list isn’t important
My heart was in as always will be in the right place
I’m in love with you
You can’t recall the stone,
Once it’s thrown
Emitted harsh words, can’t be defused
And Time spent, can not be reused.
Mrs. O'Leary
her eyesight bleary
bought an old used cow
But when it kicked
the proverbial bucket
all of Chicago screamed, "Ow!"
Used to be there
But let go
Slipped out of my grip
But I wasn’t holding on
Tight enough
No white knuckles
Didn’t care
And I still don’t

But That Was So...
I Mean, That Makes Me Such...
You Know, Something Just Was
Too Much, I Guess.
Whatever.

We
We work
We slaves
We produce
We plan
We wait
We smile
We rebel
We strike
We shadows
We forsaken
We acted
We remembered
We ghosts
We…
The One I Used To Know
By Nathan Hannen
After my heart shattered my love leaked into another
You left me cold and sad, Stranded in myself
The End.
Form:
I used to have problems with alcohol,
I couldn't stand the whiskey smell.
But now I have not problems at all,
I learned to drink whiskey without inhale!
Used abused
never reconciled the lam
the flee a trip
an heart pristine
to love all
and not a pelt
as diligent
I brush my furs
and watch the wild.
Is it fair to play
With the hearts and lives of those
Promised love always?
Since you have not stayed,
Time after time, they suffered
Feeling hurt and used.

Poet’s Note:
I hope the reader will appreciate the fact that I do not claim that
the title is crap free!
My horse Anheuser used to be a stud
Aging poorly, now races in the mud
When his tail goes swish
I grant him his wish
And draw him a bath of Budweiser suds
Taxis used poop power in days of old
Street cleaners had to mop up the road
A stinky job oh yes
Really quite a mess
Hope they were paid by the stinky load
I am like a news paper
People want me for a moment of entertainment or knowledge
Then when their finished,
I get tossed into the recycling,
and the process starts over
Form:
You'll never desalt the sea,
Oh innocent water child !
Stream,
rivulet
river... !
the grueling walk
home
after another
loss
lasts longer
stings more
swells
with tears
when
you are
a boy
Taxis used to poop in the days of old
Street cleaners would have to mop up the road
A stinky job oh yes
Whatta a mess I guess
Hope they were paid by the stinky load
6 earthmovers terracing a hill,
no more horses in a swale of green.
4 lanes westbound, 4 lanes east.
Caterpillars are eating the fields>
We take the long easy curves
black-shod.
Used
Disgraced
Rejected
Neglected
Hated
Abused
Suffered
Short on genuine love
Yet I'm living
Living through it all

Contest: story of my life
Felt accused, so abused
Mistreated life, depleted
Violent line defined
Hystericaly speaking,
Can't start reliving
These observations eternal
Meaning the believing
Stops breathing heathen
Form:
As I walk down this winding road,
I see nothing but white snow.
It falls against my cheek,
it makes me think of last week.
One day I'll be able to see,
the girl I used to be.
Our youth nowadays is a mystery
Being a boss quite a catastrophe
Instead of hearing SORRY
You get " Hey YOU hired ME "
And back to cell phones to relieve ennui

Used to be a wall-flower when I was young
Look at me now, noted for much doo-doo I've flung
But still a gentle soul
A yummy casserole
Of brawn and mushy stuff, it's my mother tongue
Believe it or not, salt's been around forever
Used to preserve food, those Romans were clever
Walked around smugly
Their skies were sunny
Salt shakers on their tables, even at McDonald's
