Notes About The Poem

Work Ethics Ain'T What They Used To Be

Our youth nowadays is a mystery
Being a boss quite a catastrophe
Instead of hearing SORRY
You get " Hey YOU hired ME "
And back to cell phones to relieve ennui

Apt description...Then again, we really might want to point the finger at ourselves/our generation, which raised children without the word "No," and without the same respect for teachers, ministers, and authority figures which was drummed into us...Those same children have been and are now creating little monsters, as aptly depicted in your limerick. What say you?

Absolutely - these kids learned what they could get away with and ran with it. Excellent point, Gershon.

Then they wonder why immigrants get the jobs - better ethics perhaps!
