Unsupervised
The bosses are not here today.
Do I have to work for my pay?
Ceiling tiles need counting.
They are in Florida for 'business.'
I've a week to clean up this mess.
We work hard, partying....

Reluctant to be a child
Unsupervised in the wild
Never dreamed of trafficking
All the screams inside happening
Wide eyed and busy tail
All points bulletin for sale
Youth is lost sold to a John
Simple teen years now gone...

It's best not to leave this old fellow unsupervised Not responsible for his actions, could be extremely unwise No telling where it might lead Check the sofa, might've peed This old fart can no longer be helped it's really fruitless to try

Many years ago,
girls wore girdles.
The tight uncomfortable things,
they held one in tight.
One summer's night,
I snuck my girlfriend out.
We were off on a double date,
a night of fun and laughs.
Her date found her girdle,
the unsupervised stop sign....

My Krowka
far away in the kitchen
the sound can be heard
of my fairies coming out to play
they clatter the plates in the pantry
and splash under the leaky faucet
ecstatic to be unsupervised once more

hiding away in the bedroom
I lay
my problems tucked in next to me,
they keep me awake.
my sadness sits in my krowka....

The traffic, always busy,
Seemingly streams smoothly
Slithering through unsupervised
Synaptic stop signs,
Thoughts colliding with ideas
Arriving at synchronistic solutions
Within the cranial carnival side show
High fiving the flirtatious filaments
Of belief’s flickering flames
The carnage of conscience
Waiting for the light to change....

AN ORGANIC CHILDHHOD (1940'S STYLE)
School was out,
vacation touched our gate,
long days,bedtimes late;
time,routine we relegate

Bird nesting,climbing trees,
building dens,adults unseen,
picnics and make-believe;
imagination-filtered dreams

Unsupervised,wandering free,
adventures sans boundary,
no cares,no chores;
natural boyhood to the core...

The Unsupervised Stop Sign
It was quarter after nine
When I clocked in on that stop sign
What an insignificant design
Yet it provoked desire

Watching everything realign
Only one thing crossed my mind
Whilst everything roared tow that line
Two opposing thoughts intertwined

Once a beautiful sign
Now an unsupervised lifeline
Once a benign incline

Now a constant race against time...

When siren screams become silent
to ears for which a heart has stopped;
billions of beats - a billion thoughts,
are not stilled, they survive
in pauses that stare, and dreams
        that start awake
and in journals where scribbles trace
where those thoughts rhyme and wander.

There's a sign ahead, at trail's end,
yet no one's there to wake us,
to say - don't go, but,
we've already moved beyond......

The lure of the inky depths
of the dark web...
too much temptation
for innocents out for a good time

Were they foolhardy
or simply naïve
sadly for them
unsupervised
there was no stop sign

I guess they couldn’t resist
the attraction of illicit drugs
posted through their door
by an unsuspecting mail man

Grieving parents
still mourn the loss
of two beloved sons
Their final resting place
an ice cold mortuary slab...

The Unsupervised Stop Sign
When no one looks, just do what's right
Like an unsupervised stop sign
Don't just do right when you're in sight
For, honesty is so divine

Put your soul on your own pedal
Put your body on your own wheel
Ride on to claim your own medal
Brace your mind in covers of steel

Ride with the flow of licit song
Sway with the flare of red and green
Blow your horn like a honking gong
Watch what goes on on your front screen...
