The Unsupervised Stop Sign

The lure of the inky depths
of the dark web...
too much temptation
for innocents out for a good time

Were they foolhardy 
or simply naïve
sadly for them
unsupervised 
there was no stop sign

I guess they couldn’t resist
the attraction of illicit drugs
posted through their door
by an unsuspecting mail man

Grieving parents
still mourn the loss
of two beloved sons
Their final resting place
an ice cold mortuary slab

Many people don't realize and think they are not working so the take more and more and don't realize what they've done until it is too late. Hugs my friend. Jan Allison October 9, 2023 at 10:13 PM just read he got 16 yrs... he was arrested at Gatwick Airport attempting to board a flight to South Africa on a one-way ticket. Jan Allison October 9, 2023 at 10:10 PM its a heartbreaking story Jerry, they took some of the drugs, didn't seem to be working so they took more .. why it is called ecstasy is beyond me. police were able to prosecute the seller who got a prison sentence but the poor parents have a life sentence and their son's 'killer' will be out and probably be back doing what he was before
