Brain Freeze

I’d log onto the soup each day
In hopes I’d have something to say
What once flowed with ease
Is locked in a freeze
But unplugged, thawed thoughts find a way

Unplugged Slug

An orange Tesla that was bought by Scott
Ran out of go juice right there on the spot
Then was quickly passed
By a Pacer, gassed
And AMC car shaped like a kumquat

Cold Turkey

Trumpets blared from orifices hidden
Awaiting his doom, the prince was bidden
To enter the dark hole of all things unknown
Suppressing a shriek, he unplugged his phone

Invisible Light

Guiding ships is my Birth Right
Pulsating warmth in lost hearts
Unplugged artificial star...

The Lighthouse is closed - sailors still see me...

The Tragic End

Simple eyes
Complex thoughts
Side by side
It's torn apart
Miles away
Once two shared hearts
Connections unplugged
Souls now two halves
Pain creeps in
A tragic end
No longer lovers
Not even friends

Unplugged From the World

The news was all bad
  It was making me mad
A waste of time reading
  I'd rather be glad

So I stopped for a week
  Stopped on a dime
Unplugged from the world
  And had a great time

I sneaked a peek today
  Everything the same
Except for my mood ~
  I'm happy and sane

Falling Leaves

Leaves falling,
 dancing in the air...
 They are unplugged feathers,
 they are sad tears
 floating... they seem !
     But in fact,
     are divine deeds
      to transform
       to renew life...
        seasons...
         ahavah...!

PS: Ahavah means love in hebrew

Crackle and Pop

Shortage in the sockets of electricity
The circuits broken and I just simply can't connect
Wiring is sparking to ignite a flame
The reaction of heat with power
I've been unplugged sometime from the world
Still searching for the breaker
To which my connection was once, not so lost

Minimalist Jilt

(fromThe John Poems)

Then I loved you
Now I don’t
Once I would
Now I won’t

You were here
Now you’re gone
No one left
To mow my lawn

Lock’s been changed
Key’s been hid
Phone’s unplugged
Heart’s up for bid

You were mine
Now you’re hers
On your head
I place a curse

Unplugged

Dove off the ledge
unplugged from the socket
that pumped the bloody blood
too stunned when she got it

Ninety-seven stories off
the ledge of her choosing
past planets and satellites
free falling
and cruising

Dead zone promised
quietude with silk grass
ground zero approaching
        too late recognized
– the bent hand of the past

Ruined

I ruined the picture of you
I created in my mind

Unplugged the vacuum
That held the me and you that were in love

Because when I call you
You don't answer as fast

And when you say my name
 it sounds different

And it will be easier to let you go than the others
Because I've had so much practice

But I don't want to give up on us

Cruelty Personified

On one boring night that is my wife’s and mine,
for conversation I thought I’d give her the sign,
that if ever I went down the vegetable line;
Please …
don’t leave me dependent upon a machine,
and fluids from a bottle if you know what I mean;
And so …
oh, she can be a *****; or a miserable swine -
she unplugged my computer and threw out my wine.

Unplugged Energy

How has technology saved us?
The world almost runs itself
Digital empires in our hands
Keeping everything in demand
Just another buzz word again
What remains a classic lasts
Now becoming the end of this
The next best thing never is
Screens might be counterfeit
Put down the phone for a sec
You may just run into a pole
Look at the world around you
Do you feel your own energy?

Lets Head For Mars .

Having unplugged the socket
And refueled the rocket
Set course and heading for Mars .
Up up and away to the Milky Way
Exploring our planets and stars .
No one to complain us
Yes ! I've seen Uranus
And your Saturn rings all a glare .
Is that strange head , the Sphinx ?
No ! , it's that other minx
Lady Ga Ga , gone" medium rare" .

Unplugged

I welcome the feeling
of leaving behind …
No Facebook, no Twitter
no Email to blind

Controlling the message
undigitized truth
My mind free of programs
my spirit induced

Where magic is whispered
no texting or bytes
Bespoken the voices
I hear in the night

My memory stays active
not stored in the Cloud
Rebooting what’s under
— enlightenment’s shroud

What Darkness Brings

Twilight falls onto my
  windowsill

Demon fire in full
  retreat

The stars return
  glowing embers that burn

In whose radiance
  an Angel will sleep

Days grip is unchained,
the cantor sings while he prays

As the chorus cries out
  “It’s unplugged”

The sun has now left
  with my hopes not bereft

Only the night
  —points to heaven above

Start Over

I stutter and stumble
the right words
already been said
I soon discover

I drifted
between life and death
excuses strangled
my lying breath

I operate
like a broken machine
convenient for me
but unplugged
to your hopes and dreams

I started to squeak
when I walk
Forgot to maintenance
my body
with the crap
I talk

Look past your eyes
to another face
So I can start over
leave this place

Oversaturated Clown Smiles

smile at the ocean
one last time
today i go broke
forever will be my new home

smile at the lake
one last time
today i become poor
forever will be permanently unplugged

smile at the river
one last time
today i become destitute
forever will be my anthill park bench

smile at the waterfall
one last time
today i shake the dirty hand of homelessness
forever will be my new body odor etched in infinity

Unplugged

Don't get me wrong the Olympic men's 50m butterfly was going along swimmingly strong but I wonder why or was it a blunder when the metaphorical rug was pulled out from under by some infernal fool who removed the plug from the bottom of the pool while down the water went was it hell-bent or heaven-sent as what was to be gained when after it drained puzzled spectators and judges were all which remained

Seven Days of Wait

Seven days later the phone doesn't ring I know
in my heart that I said the right thing but seven
days later the phone doesn't ring.

I've sat in this house a full seven days
not a ting not a ring nothing I say.
As I pace the floor lost in wonder of why
something in the corner catches my eye.

A little gray cord by the phone stand OH MY!!
The damn phone was unplugged that's
why it didn't ring well isn't that a hell of a thing.

I Sat Alone

I could not think
I could not sleep
What could I do,
Well I could weep.

I locked my door
I hid away,
No sense of time
Night or day.

For what's the point
You had gone,
There's nothing left
You were the one.

I shut the curtains
Unplugged the phone,
Slumped in my chair
And sat, alone.

Silence

The silence has been audible
I hear it all around.
I truly haven’t known before
That silence has a sound.

We all sit without conversing.
There's nothing left to say.
If our loved one survives the night.
He may not survive the day.

We’ve unplugged all the noisy clocks
That would disturb his rest.
When everything is quieted,
One hears the silence best.

All of time has been suspended
As has each throbbing word.
A life of merit is ending
And now the void is heard.

Powerless

POWERLESS

Cleansing my fridge -
Old , cold and unplugged - dead
White was its original color
Now stained with marks from the past
Nothing is forgotten, nothing is hidden
All decay is preserved in the cold
Each mark remains as it was
Nothing escapes my attention, my judgement
Take it apart, scour everything,
Put it back together, good as new.

Cleansing my soul is more difficult
Stains cannot be removed
All is preserved, exposed for judgement
Not in my power to renew it
