Seven Days of Wait

Seven days later the phone doesn't ring I know in my heart that I said the right thing but seven days later the phone doesn't ring. I've sat in this house a full seven days not a ting not a ring nothing I say. As I pace the floor lost in wonder of why something in the corner catches my eye. A little gray cord by the phone stand OH MY!! The damn phone was unplugged that's why it didn't ring well isn't that a hell of a thing.

Cool surprise this poem is, Edward. As soul sista Toni Braxton would croon "Seven Whole Days." Yeah, this poem is a winner for sure. Even made me chuckle at the absurdity of worriation. Lovely write. Love and peace to you.
