Premium Member Salvation

Salivating slow,
dreams are born in full bellies;
Hungry for the Moon,
to feed an unhealthy world;
Nutrient rich culture shines.

Three Neanderthals

I heard three Neanderthals in Albuquerque
                       This neighborhood's unhealthy for us
                               We need a Time Machine.

In His Eyes

There is a struggle in his eyes
People sense he is wise
He will cut unhealthy ties
He will keep his eyes on the prize
It is no surprise
this man will rise

Unworthy Me

Unworthy Me

I have tried to be worthy
trustworthy
healthy
but on the other hand wealthy
my life has become unworthy
tough personality
unhealthy.

Premium Member A Vegetable On the Couch

TV creates a vegetable on the couch
Unhealthy produce with a big-bellied pouch

Yet echo words of a prophetic 60's Sage

I Know I Shouldnt

I know I shouldnt love you after all you've done to me
and I know I shouldnt want you cause its plain unhealthy
I know I shouldnt care if you live or if you die
but when I think about what we had
I always seem to cry

Premium Member Nothing Is Everything

I'm mister Lazy ass today.
There's nothing left in the tank.
My fellow workers are picking up my slack.
Sipping coffee all day.
Eating unhealthy things
Hours of watching trash T.V.
Sometimes doing nothing is everything.

Premium Member Cancer

Covers a life in shadows,
Crying tears of fear, a melody
Colored by doubts, mourning
Common times when healthy and strong
Calm days, taken for granted
Considered normal, before normal
Corroded beneath a deadly disease
Form: Pleiades

Two Faces of Alone

quiet, peaceful
    blessed
    solitude
double dyed
    disorganization
    all my very own
music loud
    and often
    without recrimination
terribly unhealthy
    sleep habits
    if I choose

but

no one to steal
    my covers

Soapbox Statements

on a soapbox
constantly yelling
black and white
statements concerning
what one should do
to be considered normal
became an unhealthy
ritual among the two
repellent souls brought
together by chance long
ago in a land far far away
Form: Lyric

surface

when no one’s watching, i am.
i watch myself
take that extra bite
regret that dessert
body check every mirror
but from the outside
no one sees me
they don’t know me
only i know me
myself
the imperfect image people see so perfectly on the outside

Premium Member An Unhealthy Relationship

"Suck Me! Yeah, that's right, suck me good and hard!"
The above is not a rape or scene from a prison yard.
That's a cigarette berating you as you inhale its toxic waste.
You Are In An Unhealthy Relationship,
but a relationship you can successfully break.

Healthy Thinking

Are we thinking, about money
or do we think, about honey

Are we thinking, about our health
or do we think, about our wealth

Are we thinking, of the needy
or do we think, for the greedy

Are we thinking, for all life
or do we think, just for your own life

Premium Member Food In a Pharmacy

So many unhealthy foods
Sixteen kinds of candy
Three varieties of Slim Jim,
Eleven kinds of potato chips
Here I sit at a pharmacy, amazed
Intrigued that they are promoting this stuff
Then I notice the pop machine.
And the twenty-six kinds of sugary gum.
Wow!

I Am Drug Free

Drugs are nasty, drugs are bad,
Rage consumes you and makes you mad.
Using drugs is unhealthy,
Getting high don’t make you wealthy.

Family and friends keep me clean,
Rehearsing that, before my teens.
Education is the treasure,
Encouraging us, to stay fresher.

Regretting Cake

I ate that cake on my 100 birthday
choked on it, now for my soul you doth pray

who put the nuts in, they should pay
for causing me to die, in this unhealthy way

looking down at you, all I can say.....is
thank goodness at last, I got away.

Calculation of Evolution

Smart calculation

Of the evolution

One who is fit

Will then defeat

One who is smart

Will then outsmart

To the one unhealthy

No chance of worthy

To be in the world

Not strong enough

To take the position

In survival effort.

Reindeer prancing rah rah rah
pawing the snow with a paw, paw, paw
following each other in the frost
pulling Santa at an unhealthy cost

doing their crazy reindeer dance
tapping out a fancy prance, prance, prance

pawing the snow with a paw, paw, paw

If I Were a Perfectionist

If I were a perfectionist
As you have so named me
I’d fix all of your bad habits
And your tendency towards stress
And your inability to be carefree
And your unhealthy need to please
And the way I let you down
But I wouldn’t change a thing
Because you’re you
And that’s just perfect
Form:

Sky Lanterns

Hope, wish, and pray
we all live and let live
like the lanterns in the sky
each one spreading light
not disturbing
or
trying to destroy the other one
no unhealthy competition
no ego problems
no wish to dominate
discriminate
manipulate
others
just
keeping our individuality intact

Issues

The divide between my neighbour and me,
The strangeness that makes us strangers,
The silence that echoes our unspoken words,
The books that those words create.
We turn through the pages in the loneliness of separation,
The unhealthy world we inadvertently build.

Tragedy In Black

Tragedy in Black

Come,
Feel it.
Can you sense
Human unrest?
Perhaps jealousy
Creates blurred perception,
Brings unhealthy obsession~
Impairs cerebral functioning
Isolates one and carves out a void.
Trapped in shadows purple black tones avail.
