When the hammer falls
We can no longer stall

Inner bliss current

Inconsequential to serenity

in restive need of sterile quarry,
lithe star spangled limbs
span the velvet heavens,
silver huntress Diana
unbends slender crescent arms,
looses the gleaming arrow,
unknowing, unerring, the missile
flies to the mark,
unflinching, the prey falters
in fatal ecstasy,
finite pleasure 
alloyed with infinite pain....

As your gaze was straight ahead

But the world did not stop
For us called there we did the lot

the day he died
in a small room
dark blue,
he had no thoughts of coming days.

young man,
you did your time
in a prison,
did your time in the grip of malignant delusions,
no escape from the voices in your head.

Unflinching doubt occupied state of mind
Wonders and what ifs whipped in a flurry

Features disheveled with nose to the grind
Nowhere to be in the biggest hurry
Just to get there and wish I could rewind

If my own view were a bit less blurry
If common kindness were a common kind
I'd dial back few notches from worry

I pine to be a fossil
on permanent display
in some future museum

All it takes 
is the proper soil
in which to reside
for years and years
of unflinching patience

And then a bit of luck
when a doctoral student
stumbles across my remains
and finds the subject
for her dissertation

Scientist will argue
over what it all means
and I will live on in death
as a smiling toothy enigma...

Christ-like love for Humanity

yet to follow

all the great Mahatmas

the gift they give is death.
After the long day that drains us,
We long to be consumed by darkness.
The blackness is bred in our bones,
it lurks silently in our hearts.

That long silence after pain.
That release from life's clench
is what we live for, and die for.
The best deaths, and the most rare,
devour it with unflinching acceptance,
and look it dead in the face....

Sequestered from mundane oration
Until this spell from Earth’s rotation
Meanders from my frozen gaze.
Melting clouds in pastel plush,
Evanescent waning rays,
Recant my vision’s wanderlust.

Slivered shards of ruby hues,
Unflinching wisps of reddish blues,
Nuanced haze in wafting threads,
Supplanting twilight’s blushing gray.
Eventually dusk’s blanket spreads;
The trance is broke – I look away.
