Has music the English can't squelch

Beauty

Beauty is not what you see typically.

                     One’s words, acts and selflessness

                                      construe it.

Bliss

With delightful enjoyment
Of euphoria, happiness, and harmony
Compiled of satisfied pleasure
Typically so as to be oblivious
Of everything else
You have peace of mind
With blessed beatitude
And a zestful paradise
Of joyful utopian bliss

Haiku 27

This haiku has been deleted due to possible publication.

NOTE: I know I don't typically go artsy-fartsy with my haiku (wax eloquent as Eileen Ghali would call it). But in this case the sky was being too beautiful to NOT go overboard with the descriptions...

Prayer For Bounty

When I'm old and tired
I reckon I'll say and do stuff
in my typically bold way will
inspire people wanna take me down.

I deserve it.
(Deserve is one helluva word, ain't it?)

When I'm old and tired
hope folks will overlook
glaring eccentricities and contradictions

In favor of effort to love.

Abortion Is Form of Abberation

Aberration is a departure from what is normal,
usual, or expected and typically someone who
is unwelcome.

Abortion is Form of Aberration

Aberration is considered a form of abortion;
It also does delve into concept of distortion,
And in court
May extort,
But with biased people is out of proportion.

Things Trump Did Abscond

Abscond is to leave hurriedly and secretly,
typically to avoid detection of or arrest for
an unlawful action such as theft.

Things Trump Did Abscond

Upon almighty Trump what it had dawned,
He had stolen everything and did abscond;
As we feared,
All were weird;
His wildest imagination it was way beyond.

At a Loss

Where is the breeze
that normally carries
me away with a coolness
and a sense of safety?

Where is the sunshine
that typically starts
my waking day
with a sense of hope?

Where is the river
that so often quenches
my ever dry thirst
with its wetness?

Please someone
tell me where
they have gone,
for I cannot cope.

The Funeral

He sprinkled holy water
In my Uncle Aaron’s grave.
That isn’t how a rabbi
Would most typically behave.

But nondenominational’s
The cemetery’s claim.
Perhaps he wanted to appease
The mourners who all came.

The prayers were said, the dirt was tossed,
The tears our grief’s release.
Despite the circumstance, I hope
My uncle is at peace.

I Shoulda Said That!

In the heat of prior confrontations,

My tongue, well then, was typically tied.

Later, with all the right conjugations,

Well then, my tongue, so easily replied.

CURSES, I Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda said,

But, no one heard, as I softly mumbled.

Cuz, all the right words, dancing in my head,

Tripped out of my mouth, completely jumbled!

Artist

Feel free to tell me what type of poetry this is. The rhyme scheme of a couplet, but I am describing Artist. A line for every letter. Excuse my ignorance. Wanted to try something new. Thanks

Realize potential in unique fashion

Talented in creative ways

In love with contrast, bored by greys

Step beyond the box of comfort

His friends ran away

Something About Mary!

(Well, St. Patrick's DAy is nearly upon us, so now is the time to start rolling out the limericks.
I'll try to show one a day until the 17th. One year I went nuts and used all my friends' names
to make limericks with their names. Here is the one for Mary!

A typically staid lass named Mary
told everyone she’d seen a fairy.
One part she left out
which might cause some doubt:
She’d first drunk a bottle of sherry.
