(Snow Series)
Twirling winter seed
each flake dancing with the wind
to enhance footprints
© Harry J Horsman 2010
Autumn,
leaves of red drift,
twirling with the yellow.
Earthy scents fill the woodland air,
vibrant !
Autumn leaves dancing
Spinning and twirling around
All so inspiring
Enticing playful moments
With choreographed echoes.
Twirling,
Falling aimlessly,
My ode to love was inaudible,
Whirling against the breath and sigh
Of yesterdays
Cynthia
a flake of snow twirling in the sunlight
performs perfect pirouettes
upon a breath of air
Twirling
Swirling
Disappearing
Ripples in the water
Ripples in my mind
Twirling
Swirling
Guess what they do next ?
A woman twirling
Like a dervish
Hula hoops rotating
Around her chest and waist

brisk boisterous wind
throws the joyous kite so high
caught by crescent moon
trailing twirling tail
toddler tugs the moon along
girl
twirling
in circles
with a tutu
gal
bare
branches,
sky-outlined
one last twirling
leaf

light footed danseuse
admired by the masses
original steps
danced like a faerie
twirling her petite body
bloodying her feet
curling his lip
smug
arms folded
disdainful
twirling the ends
of his mustache --
even the thought
that he
could be defeated...
Sixties girly dress
frothy scratchy petticoat
patent leather shoes
pretty lace anklets
ready for Sunday School
twirling in the rain
I’m singing honey-
rinsed sunflower serenades
twirling with corn rays…
and I’ll waltz through every fall…
to embrace his saffron warmth
a feather
floating
aloft
on a zephyr
twirling
beneath the hues
of morning's rise
captivates
suddenly
i wish
it were me
carefree
swirling ~ twirling
faster ~ faster
time promenades
look listen learn
beggars ~ thieves
trust YOURSELF
humanity
instinct or extinct?
Your yellow leaves make my morning happiness
Circular movements giving rhythm to the phases of my life
in my dance twirling and senseless
SUMMER'S FINAL SIGH
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
golden leaves descend
falling softly, twirling slow
summer's final sigh
Swirling, twirling
Crisp and white,
It’s a snowflake
Kind of night…
Crystals shimmer
By moonlight,
Building castles
Till daylight…
Red leaf
with the stars,
falling.
Maroon dusk
crawling.
Twirling last
dance!
Prettier, livelier
than ever
before.
MUSE
........wrap me up star in your soft coat twirling sounds
and dreams for me to dance to
on this table alone
and breeze
free
Twirling
Head over heels
Sun glinting
On its edges
Dreams afloat
On riffled air
The splash
A cool see-saw descent
Of hope’s
Last penny
chill arrives
twirling like bruised spine ,
with each huff
her skin coils
on decaying trellises--
ripped by old foibles
Foggy breaths reach ever so gently
Twirling and bending
Around the crannies of trees
Every nook was filled with
Her precious, pure, air
Colors in my head
swirling, twirling, whirling;
a massive funnel,
that I will
randomly grab for,
to paint my dreams.
