Plunged by
A child’s hand
into turrets
Of a castle
of golden sand
Long washed clean
By rolling tides.
Sometimes
A bugle plays
On
Omaha Beach

London Town: Highgate Cemetery
a beautiful silence
spirals from turrets
that twist like the pathways
through the bracken and grass.
the stars that still shine here
are mapped out as numbers
in a gothic hereafter
for the tourists who pass....

Scoffing Derision
When the wars of all nations fall quiet upon shells and shallow graves
A mockingbird rises from ashes and spreads its wings into nuclear skies
No muezzin left to spread angelic messages but a nest in calm turrets
06th January 2020...

Snowbound Xanadu
Against barren cliffs, daylight enters , finding
glistening horizons ,iridescent jewels keeping
lovely minarets near Olympic peaks, quietly revealing
snowbound turrets under velvet winds ..
Xanadu, you'r Zion

An Uttering Fire
they go
into the uttering fire
enter
- no more talking
the rubble is piled high
higher than the high houses
men in turrets
crush
they lick their dry lips
they listen
to the flames
ash falls within an oily rain
a dead face in the flames
begins to talk...

A Religious Affair
Turrets are turning,
behind the tanks
exhausts are farting death clouds,
barrels, like angry dicks,
are hot, erect and spurting,
buildings erupt, climaxing
on TV screens.
On both sides of these yonder hill
where the redline bleeds,
blank-eyed children,
play their video games,
while trying to overhear
a merciful God at His prayers....

Castle In the Sky
The clouds part to reveal the castle in the sky.
The castle of all afterlife.
This is orion encircled in light.
Sun beams dance on it's turrets of gold.
It stands alone in the vast emptiness.
It is circled by crystal blue waters and emerald green grass.
Chimes echo through the wind each calling out to me.
Cross the bridge to the castle in the sky....

Ramifications
Ramparts adorn the castle walls
Amidst them slotted turrets
Making for a grim façade
Inside a moat that repelled many
Fortress of all it guards
In its depths a dungeon
Captives were placed there
A home to torture chambers
The stains of blood darkly visible
Inferno pit in the centre
Over which people were hung alive
No mercy given here to foes
Screams heard for miles around...

The Last Hour
In the last hour,
Of the final day,
That we all do face,
I'll look forward to reunion with
All those who proceeded me,
Such a smile I will wear!
The warmth of love than reunited
With those who made my life rich,
Beyond words can describe
That made life so precious
Though there are those here I may miss
I will watch over them,
A fierce Guardian Angel...
Manning the turrets of life
Armoured with love....

Deeply Fathomed Sky Storm
a thunderstorm passing over -
gun turrets flash
gray hulls rumble and roll
above tumultuous clouds
evening commences to weep -
a damp emotive capsizing
that barely touches upturned faces
as seafaring battles go
it was a sky-skirmish
of near misses
a backwash of electric fizz
the distant sound
of sailors shouting for rum
light blinks
shipping damp echoes
that drip
into a salty bucket
of silence...

Corrosional Clam Creates Calm
Talismanic turbans trade togas. How great. Short grin large grin. Big beam. And now an elephant in baggy trousers dancing. Peachtree waving. Chutney calling. Tantric trade. Tanks. Till not a tailor. Traditionalists trumpeting. One six zero. And a purple patterned silk cloth. Rice dance then. Kilowatt jewels. Oooh sparkly. Good. Hahahaha green relish. Hahahaha many many many many turrets. Xxxx Adriatic sea. Xxx corrosional. Z...

Stare
Stare
staring wearing
the fine so sublime
like bitter lime
rhyme the conservation of exact
though life that people think
drink the stink
possum rode the plane
the naturel turrets that raid our land
sands of stone
tone roamed
phoned the reality of misery
wars and history combined
give us some time
no more war
rulers of nations
maze and confusion
raid the illusion

Dramatic Monologue
Summer Day
Clouds puffy white teddy bears drifting above
Colliding then separating, dancing it seemed
The sun tired now, sinking into the horizon
But not before sharing its glorious hues
Fiery red, goldenrod yellow, streaked with azure
Like the most vibrant of rainbows
Her children sat on the beach patting turrets onto sand castles
Pebbles in pails of water, glistening in the wet
Black, rust, and pink granite
Souvenirs of a hot happy summer day...

Sand Castle
Sand castle on the shore
proudly standing tall
building it was a chore
during the heavy rainfall
Little banners are waving
from each of its turrets
the weather they are braving
as the single child revisits
The sea now rushing forward
each wave causing more damage
as they keep rolling onward
relentless invasive wreckage
Soon it lays in total carnage
just prism sands once more
left behind by the sea's voyage
no sign of the castle there before...

Magical Mud
First, build a big castle,
sculpting turrets like pros.
Mounding, turning, and working that dirt
with hands deft and facile,
dampening with the hose,
squished through fingers, a warm oozing squirt.
Together, thus, they played,
delighting, questing went
to faraway lands, magical mud,
imagining they payed
with rocks for gold they spent,
buying and selling fresh dragon’s blood.

Midnight Mosque
In translucent silence
sapphire-capped minarets
stand like ardent rose buds
under glint of a firefly moon.
Gone are birds of day
like ruby breasted dawn
spilling ashes of roses
on a saffron horizon,
rhododendrons and azaleas floating
up high to burnish
the mosque's ghosted towers.
Through night's brisk lapis
the hushed teal dome bides
wafting apple breezes
as walls and turrets lumber,
shielding the tiled plaza
until morning steeps the landscape
in the aura of peacocks....
