Slipping through the cracks
Seeping into the underground
Slithering through tunnels
Cyclical inconvenience resurfaces
whispering city
blaring-chattering fountains
weeping train-tunnels
in prayer, I am taking
the one - thy name: my silence
tunnels of silence
abandoned decayed
naked grain of
love
splendour of roots
purple grapes
seedless
turquoise green
abundance
of hope

They couldn't stay the course
So they built a wooden horse-
Out from tunnels in the ground
Freedom,was their cry,
But ,so many were to die.
lift an angel to the sky.grief angel, grieve out tunnels of fortune and grab.sap
sucker,routine affair,sap sucker,give care and thanks,i dont own a tank.
Wars within and without with unimaginable ends.
My imagination crawls through the network of tunnels.
Minor hostages bound to their mother’s terrified heart.
tunnels underground
chipmunks curl up for a nap
on a bed of grass

Rising well before dawns first light,
Driving through tunnels of trees.
Bedecked with frost shining bright
I miss the sight of this winter frieze.

sounds of loneliness
launch echoes bounced off shadows
through dark tunnels of my dreams
in the distance a light
and its promises of morning

Art nothing more
than an act of creation
Becoming Divine
every new inspiration
Tunnels of wonder
your fortune to mine
Time as the drill bit
— transcendence sublime
(Dreamsleep: August, 2024)
Methinks aliens are preparing to invade earth
Warning, this gives us time to prepare, for what it's worth
Man the gunnels
Prepare the tunnels
Some may perish but I'll still provide the mirth
We the Humans
How sentimental
How cruel too is humanity
Buster bombs.
A dog asleep
Near its master`s casket
We get tearful.
Faithful dog
How sweet.
Children`s death
In deep tunnels
Isn`t photogenic
Methinks aliens are preparing to invade the earth
Warning, this gives us time to prepare, for what it's worth
Man the gunnels
Prepare the tunnels
Some may perish but I'll still provide the mirth
Harriet Tubman helped free slaves
Determination gave her the strength
To break the law
And have slaves crawl
Through tunnels to make their escape -
She risked her life every day

Added additional line at end
some never return
lost for centuries and more
embedded in earth
their spirits still seen
sharp wailing cries still heard
coldness in the air
the tunnels still stand
as a lasting reminder
never to forget
working are the ants
midst new summer month burrow-
ing tunnels collect-
ing gleaning shares foods
substances underground in
--terstate commerce

Immersed in the quagmire
of finding yourself
The search tunnels deeper
through canyons undwelt
Absorbed in the moments
your fear would disdain
Time lost and abeyant
— in search of a name
(Dreamsleep: June, 2024)
bleak tunnels hunger
for the slightest of sunshine
chip into the rock
unleash the beast from its pit
quench it with sunshine’s embrace

Tires protest loudly
Vision tunnels as night falls
White lines hypnotize
Strong coffee, deeper longings
Steel resolve, exhort homeward

Blame the child
the victim
the doctor and nurse
look in the mirror Mr Terrorist
You build tunnels of lies
then blame freedom fighters
for saving even your own lives
sadly
the mirror hasn't been cleaned
since Hitler stared
heartless, into it
I imagine a dense network of tunnels;
malleable, hollow tubes narrowing
then swelling - breathing a complex
language beyond my comprehension.
The synchrony is beautiful
and I long to understand it.
The trees
extrude themselves
along the low resistance
pathways in the air.
Nature abhores such vacuums and
fills them with wood.
.
The birds who
inhabit the trees
ride sunlight trails,
slip along transparent
tunnels on the surface of wind.
.
Leaf filtered sunlight
Speckles the water,
Tunnels of branches
Shading the stream
Little waves, lapping,
Knock on the kayak,
Paddle stroke rhythms
Rocking the boat.
Heron is gliding
Serenely greenwards,
Peace of the river
Filling my soul.
concrete existence
echo in emptiness as
the night turns powdered steel rouge
lost in the labyrinth
passage in shadows of deep tones

POETICS POEM 6 “A Poem Rises”
Yet another poem is trying
To bear itself up through the narrow
Network of cave-like tunnels
To surface. I cannot see
Its face, but do feel its effort...
To rise in a complete proclamation:
Its sound perhaps astounding...
