A Senior moment
By arched trellis
Quaintly kissing
Neath mistletoe
In sacred gardens,
your heirloom roses ascend,
the chipped-paint trellis—
in yesterday’s reflections,
where petals fell long ago

Stark against winter's dead flowers
Skeletal stand pear, fig, rose
Oh! Rose 'pon trellis dead_
Or so it seems, now
Deep within earth
Roots draw strength
Revive
Live
She climbs the trellis to the sky
To meet her lover in his flight
He is the midnight butterfly,
She, his sweet savor of delight
Sharing sweet kisses through the night

creeping beauty on the fence
in pink white or red
my purple climber
been around, going somewhere
new as morning dew
pretty whites and blues
happy on my garden wall
lost in the summer
The heels’ climbing trellis —
Crimson roses, bold and beautiful.
Wrapped like a winding staircase,
The taupe strap shin high.
Snazzy red toenails.
The fashion’d lady primped,
Ready for her handsome “steady.”

White roses stand in subtle elegance,
A light breeze stirs awe of tasteful fragrance.
A marriage under a spreading old tree
On a grassy lawn, edged with trellis-free
Ambiance kiss of fallen amber leaves,
A continuous aesthetic spins and weaves.
I want to bloom again with you in spring.
Prune the ivy and dismantle the trellis,
I will wait patiently in the soil.
The sunlight may not land upon me,
nor the rain always wet my roots,
But I will take comfort in the shade,
and be satisfied with the dew.
Born two centuries yesteryear
A young pair who passed through Ellis
Built a frame home with rose trellis
Intertwined blooms like them bound dear.
Last roses on their headstones rest,
Grandparents by whom I was blest.

The ocean above our heads is choppy, cold and everlasting.
It glows
with the crescent, the stars and its nubian beauty.
A Nubian beauty akin to yours my lover.
Let's strike out on that sea, let's climb that trellis and
Show the earth a nova, strike them blind upon it!

Climbing clematis
Creep in among the trellis
And coloured stars show!
Rain and sun are needed
For blooming clematis buds
And butterflies to come!
Vases hold clematis
While water keeps them on tap
To display inside!
The chartreuse pearls hung on the pregnant vine
as whispered jade of leaves in autumn breeze.
The necklaces of trellis did entwine
like clefs of absinthe notes in verdant keys.
