Your haiku quietly captures sun and shadows so beautifully, Paul. I can picture you sitting beneath the vine trellis with a glass of red. Now, that's a great image! (hope those vine trellises also carry grapes for a snack, while in that partial shade). Great haiku, Paul... plus I learned a new word: mottled.

Thank you for the feedback, Timothy. My vine trellis affords both shade and grapes :) ...and I make wine thanks to it. Yes, 'mottled' might not be used much, but I have several (unpublished) haiku in which I use it. ~ Regards // paul

Love this Paul. My mom used to have a grape arbor which had a place we could sit under. I love sitting under the grape arbor in summer. Lovely It brings back memories. God Bless, JB
