In the Emptiness

Blankness staunch Doll on tethers view. Mooring void Aiming high One choice is on the table. To gaze through the dark

Fairy Tale Happy

Goldilocks had three, not one berry,
Humpty Dumpty in jubilation
Mary, who is quite ordinary
Rainbow gold tip tethers creation
Jack, Jill, and my son are happy.

Shadows

dark and ethereal
stark reminders of being
never tainted nor thwarted
ever present in light
deceptively absent otherwise
now unusable
these tethers
pray tell their value

Hostages to Fortune

Before dawn, the world breathless~ heartbeats become tethers to the whims of fate and old dreams flying out of reach. Fickle fate holding our fortunes hostage to power~ meager money eked out from minions of despots.

Poetry

Part of my anatomy I never can live without,
Onset of thoughts that turns all else about;
Every hair-strand bows before its plague,
Tethers and fetters fall at its song.
Rhymes may sometimes sound empty and vague,
Yet they are the lyrics of the angelic throng!

Break Free

Dreams of living in a world free of norms
No longer will the word sir be required
Mam will be no more than a distant memory
Free from one's tethers and restraints
Mentally relaxed and physically up beat
The general public soars while unified
Infinite copilots on the flight of redemption

What Is Love

What is Love

Trust - unconditionally in that someone special.
Faith - and devotion through divine destiny.
Contentment - in knowing love is equally reciprocated.
Soul connection - that tethers a couple together forever.

Runner

Im not as strong as the others
but I can run twice as far
Its the grit in me that tethers
my will to my legs on the ground
Id fly if I had any feathers
sometimes I think that I have
a stash of drive in my love handles
thats why the wont go away
theyre full of the firey rumble
that pushes me on in my stride
It feels good to be a runner

September 27th

September 27th
You died today
Your life just slipped away
Maybe souls exist and I’ll see you again
Pretty lies we tell ourselves but it’s all pretend
My tethers to this world are growing thin
I often wonder why the say suicides a sin
The world with out you has grown a little grim
I know I need time to grieve
But it’s hard when there’s no time to breath

Goose On the Loose, Chased

What flips, then flops
What comes in, goes astray
Control is ephemeral
Stability is fraught
For tethers taught
Cannot keep on hold
The obsessive need for change.

You can't stop progress!
Moving on is long gone
Perhaps you missed the train?
See what you missed
With head turned back,
A gaggle of opportunities
Wobbled on by,
Goose on the loose, chased.

Balloons

Seducing with their siren song Those who with skyward gaze Watch with childish fascination The dance unveiled above Bright globes of color Greet the cloudless day Sharing a quiet moment Basking in the beauty Of a clear blue sky Skipping through the gentle air Rejoicing in the freedom Of tethers released Heavenly aspirations pursued Happiness is a balloon

Again It Twists

Though the father of the heathen family is a snob, the mother does blather with others and tethers their cattle with withered leathers whether the weather is warm or not. Neither she loathes any others nor fails to be blithe at the advent of the lithe spring at the southern coast of Southampton where with brotherly affection together run hither and thither sheathers and wethers.

Lost

Thunder measures out the distance
between lightning flash, and you and me.
We are still together, though separately,
two birds on up-draughts, treading air.

It wouldn’t be fair to ask
"Where are you now?"
for you are here
and everywhere where I can lie

and hear the roll of thunder,
watch lightning tilting at the dark,
understand whatever tethers you to me
is the secret within the art.

Out of the Void

That pit in my soul…
a space left unfilled
The harder I struggle,
the deeper it drills

Its emptiness constant,
dominion unsure
A puppet on tethers,
with vacuum secured

One choice left unspoken,
whose die never cast
To reach through the darkness,
the blindness unmasked

A backfill is starting,
my cavern relines
The light has reentered
—new future defined

White Heart

I'm with you-marching-searching for blooms amidst the weeds
you have my white heart-in your hands.
Until you start
looting
burning
shooting
"wilding" for white hearts to tear out.
The only slave master you have now is hate,
which tethers the many minds of kindness
whips the back
shackles the soul

Hate is a knee to the neck of peace...
The only slave master you have now is hate,
and it owns you.

I Cannot Wait In Quicksand

Dear lover you don't know yourself,
yet I'm blinded with awe
and we come together,
but you let me tumble
to other rocks
that surface the shore.
Dear love you said so yourself,
but perhaps it was merely
observation.
Dear friend who tells tales to tare the tale he tells,
because my will tethers easily
and I sway so wholly,
that another already holds my pen
by the end of this poem.

I cannot wait in quicksand,
my legs wont wade merrily.

Eclipse Reality

Devastated by lost love; emotions morph into tears. And fragmented fantasies; fuel imagination. Mourning innocence's demise; you reevaluate trust. And garner hope from wishes left at the fringes of youth. Passion's promises echo deep within an empty heart. Yet, the illusion of love can't eclipse reality. Drowning in a sea of tears; love dies, and yet, hope survives. And tethers yesterday's dreams to a better tomorrow.

Oblivion

Hiding in the shadows dementia devastates; as sanity slowly begins slipping away. When your memory fails, life loses its meaning; and you become depressed; bewildered, and confused. Your heart morphs into a desolate derelict; a floundering vessel not even love can save. Hope's quickly depleted, for trust doesn't exist; only time remains true, in this facade of lies. And when reality's stranger than any dream; Alzheimer's tethers your soul to oblivion.
