Eclipse Reality

Devastated by lost love; emotions morph into tears. And fragmented fantasies; fuel imagination. Mourning innocence's demise; you reevaluate trust. And garner hope from wishes left at the fringes of youth. Passion's promises echo deep within an empty heart. Yet, the illusion of love can't eclipse reality. Drowning in a sea of tears; love dies, and yet, hope survives. And tethers yesterday's dreams, to a better tomorrow.

Well done, Emile. This is the stanza I love most: "Mourning innocence’s demise you reevaluate trust. And take stock of spent wishes left at the fringes of youth."

Hi Emile! This is a very good poem written in flowing free verse. Nothing wrong with crying over lost love, but then, once tears stop, it's time to move on! #7 // paul

Hope is very important as you say in this work and I like the picture you chose to go with it. Yes, my poem had a typo which you noticed and I corrected it. Peace & Love Matthew Anish
