Susan Hill's Woman In Black
The woman in black:
Spirit haunting Eel Marsh house,
Detests the living,
Wasted, bitter, died of grief,
Terrifies the villagers....

Premium Member Terrified By German Shepherds
The German Shepherd terrifies me.
More than any animal I see.
So I stay away,
Every single day
In his giant jaws my flesh I see....

Semenary
Whenever the wife needs a break
From necking when I'm on the make
Her hammer and stake
Just make my heart ache
And terrifies my garter snake...

Astraphobia is alive and well
Thunder terrifies Mr. A.C. Bell

A phobia that makes him blue
A full blown rainstorm to him is hell....

Fear
In the darkness it lurks,
In the shadows it creeps.
In my nightmares I see it
And it terrifies me.
When will it leave me?
I don't want it near.
It's a four-lettered battle
We all know as fear....

Premium Member Snow Blizzard of 1987
black ice terrifies me
my headlights are frosted over
impatient relatives are waiting
a four hour trip turns into a six hour trip
snow blizzard of 1987, no phones back then
My teeth chatter when I remember my fear...

A common wonder
Just another miracle
Loping along the hillside

Beauty and fire
She terrifies and excites
Even herself for a time

But she drifts too far
And can't escape the freeway
All she can do is stand still

Blue
Why do the blue birds make me blue
Everytime they sing their hue
Like the heaven is crying
For the ravages of the ruin?

The blue birds and the blue skies
Come fading so quickly
For the heart that terrifies
Brought the tunes of anarchy

In a Dark Place
In a dark place
I reside
I am so far down
That I can't even see
The light anymore
And it terrifies me
Too scared to live
Too scared to die
I am stuck
Caught in a never ending circle
Always running back into myself
Wanting to escape from this prison
But not knowing how
Lost in a dark place
With no escape...

The Haunting Sound of Warning
The haunting sound of warning

The haunting sound of warning
Floating on the wind
Screams of eternal torment
From those who once have sinned
Pleading cries of hopelessness
Threatening all mankind
The agony and suffering
That terrifies the mind
Hypnotic and unending
Holding all enthral
The haunting sound of warning
When the ravens call...

Naturally
In darkness
        fear that terrifies is
        absence of colors

               II
           Bluish sky
         greenish sea
        natural canvas

               III
       Total whiteness
     such cotton in the field
       such soul purity

               IV
       Green on green
     the natural landscape
       preservation....

Premium Member Jasper Terrifies My Enemy
Jasper intimidates my friends
Terrifies my enemies
Of which there is only one
I feel protected now
He lets no one abuse me
I keep him close

It is not everyone who has a polar bear for a best friend
I feel fortunate and blessed
My faerie godmother loves me
She knew what she was doing when she sent Jasper
No one hurts me now
And my enemy runs screaming into the night...

Premium Member The Quieting of the Soul
It is not the roaring lion
or the pounding in his chase,
but his nuzzle of affection
and his tender touch embrace.

It is not the violent whirlwind
or the earthquake splitting rock,
but faint playing of the heartstrings
and the barely sounded knock.

Although our God consumes with fire
and terrifies with awe,
the quieted soul of peaceful man
comes through heart's open door....

Premium Member That's a Lie
That scarecrow has attitude I was told one night
He terrifies me said my brother, gave me a fright.
I was not afraid and told my chicken brother so
Until that scarecrow chased me off with a hoe.

He didn’t! My friend said. I think that’s a lie.
So, I sent him in to see for himself, my pal, Cy.
The scarecrow threw a pitchfork and hit his knee.
My limping friend screamed like a red banshee.

Farewell
They will not allow the assisted suicide.
The beetles; fiery and drunk.

After the betrayal of arithmetic,
the spiral staircase.

Fireflies set foot on the skies
to measure the darkness.

The fire between us, of burning fat,
of thousand years, terrifies me.

Moon bleeds on grass, I prick the
voice of the hugging earth.

The salt of the lips now hurts
it was your parting kiss, O sun!

Bewitched
Seductively lying in wait
A fit position for the one
Who thunders like the Titans
And terrifies the evening sky
With her electrifying bolt of lightening
Her passion a double edge sword
It can captivate an icey heart
Hypnotize a cold man's soul
Or bring him to his darkest hour
No matter
She owns him
For even when he feels her sting
He dare not escape
Only begs for more
Of her deadly venom...

Decaying Crimson
Decaying crimson overpowers my words and thoughts
Shy and scared
Silently sitting in the dark
Your overwhelming blue terrifies me most
                    	Apathetic and
                    	Your eyes disregard your carelessness
        	Mysteries turn us purple
We want to know the truth, yet we sit in silence
Until crimson has decayed to the most luminescent yellow....

The Storm
black swirling clouds close in sight
rain drops dancing as they fall
booming thunder shakes the night
lightning amazes and terrifies all

the wind howls and screams away
hail stones hit the muddy ground
no little children out to play
only the storm is out and around

soon the sun starts to come out
the rain has stopped, the dark will go
even though there is still some doubt
everyone looks to see the rainbow...

Premium Member Guinea Pig Wizard from North Kalamazoo
Whacky? Perhaps but extremely powerful too.
He’s a guinea pig wizard from north Kalamazoo.
We have seen him turn the windows both pink and blue.
He has commanded a crow to fly in from the flue.

We call him Mr. Tibblets Tanglewood Tony Treble Clef Two.
He likes the whole name, he says we simply cannot overdue.
His power and might terrifies my brother and sister too.
He is heading this way, so I suggest you be your best you....

Premium Member Beaky Man
There are ghosts, ghouls, and gargoyles out tonight.
They could all give you a scare, maybe even a fright.
But the one that terrifies me the absolute most,
Is not a ghoul, gargoyle, gangster, or sinister ghost.

I am terrified of Beaky Man. He’s trouble with a tee.
His giant beak smacks people from sea to whining sea.
As if that is not enough, his eyes will narrowly scan.
They’ll demand you tell the truth to scary Beaky Man....

Premium Member Genghis Khan Personified
Isis terrifies with sound and sight
in a kaleidoscopic way she mesmerizes me
I focus on her red lips
She seems ghoulish
Someone to be feared

The ruler of not one planet
But of lots of realms
Possibly ruler of the universe
Her nipples are prominent

There is a swirl of activities
She is a theme of love, by herself
Dancers from India swiftly change into a windmill sun
She is Genghis Khan personified, and I am frightened...

The Sound of the Gun
THE SOUND OF THE GUN
Sounds like a baby thunder
But the blast discomforts the ears
And terrifies the spirit of man
Suddenly the gush of thick blood
Followed by uncontrollable wailing
And tearing of the heart into shreds.
Just one awful sound, end up producing
So many sounds of agony and sorrow.
At last, unprepared journey begins
To the great beyond after the sudden
Fall of regret and woes.
