flattery and compliments oozed out of her
she would apple polish a weirdo, a cur.
a suave sycophant of the nth degree
her nose as brown and smelly as an eye can see

Some true
Some absurd,
All this hullabaloo
Fact checking every word.

Many fake
Many disturbed
It's propaganda makes
obsequious sycophant uncurbed...
Geo is an apple-polishing sycophant.
He’ll kill you too, says hard-of-hearing Grandpa Grant.
Confusing sycophant with psychopath, I guess.
The next family reunion is a horrible mess.
Shan’t one discern
Between a reverie yet to conclude?
And unprecedented retribution?
Society may think it dexterous
To berate the triumph of others
And reprimand them
in exclusive and dire scrutiny
Though such a sycophant
Becomes aroused by
The fashioning of controversy
An indictment is questionable
Brian was a sycophant apple-polisher at work
Fawning all over the boss; an enormous jerk
The rest of us got his number right away
He annoyed most of us from the very first day
Brian washed the boss’s car and brought him lunch
We did not like either of them a bunch.
They were two peas from the same kind of pod.
Their conversations gave all of us a nod.
A shallow thinker of little integrity
A sycophant stinker and less empathy
A wanting to return to a golden age
which never existed,
with ludicrous rants that serve to enrage
Catty remarks weird and twisted...
Selflessly she married into a family,
it only makes her more inspiring
She won't hear the sounds of pitter patter,
Kamala, her husband and stepchildren matter!
There's more than just size to the elephant,
they do do some things that the others can't.
Many stories show these acts as valiant;
in the wild, grand gestures seem elegant.
Their wisdom is "ear-ily" evident,
nothing too pithy or given to rant -
like wry witticisms from Oscar Levant.
Or, Ogden Nash whose stanzas are extant,
not the rhymes of some silly sycophant.
Pachyderms make empathy "rel-e-phant"!
You may as well put the shovel down
If you think this vivisepulture will be my end
I survived the suffocation of a small town
And I'll be damned if this is how I descend
Just another obsequious sycophant
And a supercilious, self-aggrandizing fraud
In this room there is but one elephant
And it will most certainly break down the façade
I will use the stone you try to bury me with
To build on top of your house a splendid monolith
You would think by now I know its vain
There was this time no anesthesia
Even though I was not immune to pain
Just the light dulce et gloria
And I was blind like Samson without the flame
I woke to winter and empty trees
Nothing to hide nakedness and shame
Except the chilly blanket of the breeze
I gave her a spade and told her plant
She made a sickle and a wreath
And I sang to it – still their sycophant
The gardener dreams while breathe.
A man is at his ugly best
when he recovers from night rest
Look at that man
perhaps the resting sun
dwelt on his chest
the rays carried torments of the morrow
of the hectic routine he would follow
Throughout the night
he wore his eyes tight without their lid
Today He's after the man
who lured him to fell
the fruitful neem
that harbored his dream
by his numb thumb
he did succumb
should he get him
he'd lynch him with a deadly rage of hell
Are there spires of salvation
tearing through your sin
anchors of admonishment
splintering hypocrisy to wood
Would you die for your beliefs
beaten bloody and religiously raw
mocked as a penniless sycophant
crucified before a mother’s love
Do you cry for the suffering
like disease ravages the poor
dressing their weeping wounds
with the righteousness you abhor
Do you believe in blasphemy
the absurdity of an ethereal grace
judging a man’s convictions
for the apathy in his wake
