Home Sweat Home

A triangle top
A square foundation
A picketed white fence guarded
by
two spotted dalmatians sitting on the
shaggiest rug that reads
"Home Sweat Home"

We're all to blame

Premium Member Sweat

Sweat ruled as I tried to draw near,
When I got an eyeful of you.
Each moment then, passed by in fear.
Although if too shy, then I would rue,
The gift life blessed me to pursue!

Premium Member Covered with Sweat

    a crucial detail
    the key to the case
    slipped the attorney’s mind
    how could this happen
    to him now

    all by himself
    on the precipice
    of triumph

Sweat To See the End

The sweat of sweet effort
And not quitting nor running
Because no road is short
To the goal of winning
Giving up is not a option
And success through work
To reach your dreams there can be no caution

Bike Ride

Bike ride,
air through my hair,
sunshine dousing my skin.
Dirt and splashed mud cover wheels.
Sweat drips
heat rises, thigh to palm to cheek.
Music comes from nature,
leaf and rock crunch
below tire.

Home Sweat Home

house houses many a people, but home is what makes it homely,
be it a chawl, a hut-ment or be it a large building,
love is what one requires to have,
luxury is the bond that a family has
whose riches are not seen yet cherished

Premium Member Sweat Shop

Down a boy’s sad face
     a bead of perspiration

drops onto some cloth

Someone now wears a cheap shirt
made from the sweat of his brow.

Sweat
bubbles
on my skin
thinking of you;
My breathing quickens,
you’re controlling my pulse;
If you just scratch me and bite,
leave your filthiest mark on me?
I’ll follow you and do what you ask;
There is not a thing I would rather do.

Bead of Sweat

like beads of sweat fall down my face
while working in the heat
our thoughts, it seems, are out of place
when they are incomplete
to shatter on the solid ground
and never to return
no wonder when no thoughts are found
our lives bein to burn

Premium Member Sweat Shop

A sexy lady in town opened her new Sweat Shop
With all kinds of towels, soaps and deodo-props
All sporty men went inside to purchase
With sweating armpits, rushed in race
Fainting in odor was her first business’ mishap.

Premium Member Sweat Is the Other Garment

Sweat is the other garment
   You wear in the desert
When the only water is in the cactus
And all but the flies are inert

But a cool layer of sweat
Is a hiker’s proof of reward
For taking a thin trail
   And in curiosity, moving forward.

I Start To Sweat

I start to sweat
And a tickle in my throat
Causes me to convulse
I hold it in, hoping
To avoid the attack
But I fail fully
And I cough,
My heart landing on the table
Before my eager eyes
It prolongs its pulse,
Hopping off the counter,
Into your hands

Sweat Shop Bazaar

Seaming in a sewing room, earning his copper coins in twos. With patterns, tools, & spools, fast pace so hard to do. Rusty fans that are always frozen, feed dog staying broken with a boss who's constantly smoking fine Cuban cigars. Just another day at Sweat Shop Bazaar.
