Sweat Shop

Down a boy’s sad face a bead of perspiration drops onto some cloth Someone now wears a cheap shirt made from the sweat of his brow. Written Feb. 17, 2022 For the Sweat Shop poetry contest of Kai Michael Neumann

An image captured that explains cheap labor verging on slave labor. Such a thought provoked excellent write and touching, as it hits home to almost all of us who find a bargain. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Capitalism enjoys no limits when its status is, "whatever the market will bear" as we see by merchants withholding merchandise so they can jack up the price. Governments must control greed by setting limits on profitability, e.g, charging $1,000 for one pill that cost less than 3-cents to manurfacture! Aloha!

That's why I have not watched one minute of the Olympics~and would not buy a product of any company that has been a sponsor. I don't care how hard our athletes have labored...there are more important things than personal satisfaction. Well said!

We take a lot for granted, don't we? It's like our food... We live out in the country, and my grandkids have to watch the chickens and rabbits get "processed", but at least they understand there's a real cost for the food placed before them at the table. take care!
