Cobalt of your eyes
Caramel suntan kissed skin
Flowing chestnut curls
Soft pink lips I yearn to kiss
Crimson fire burning my heart
A nudist said, "Oh, what the heck!
I shall get my suntan on deck!"
A girl came along
And saw something wrong
But when it spat, she broke its neck
it was a day
i must say
we went to the park
stay until after dark
we kiss nuthin miss
WE LISTEN TO THE BAND
GOT A SUNTAN
its was so much fun
we were
LOVER IN THE SUN
Go find me
a homeless man
with a golden suntan
Oh, sure
He lives just down the block
from the tall blond whore
whose only love is the great outdoors
soft shore breezes
suntan lotion glistening off bodies
umbrellas fluttering
sand castles and sand pails
shoes scattered on blankets
sail boats on the horizon
beach time perfection
The smell of barbeque on a hot summer day. That smell from childhood never goes away. Suntan lotion smelling like coconut at the beach are all good smells like picking up those tiny seashells...
Summer is one of the favorites seasons for the following:

2. Sun
3. Vacations
4. Suntan lotion
5. Castles in the sand
6. Parasailing
7. Boats
8. Camping

love breeze flows Spring shows
lovers move fast moments stall
chasing breath country clocks crawl
snowball wishes
snowball wishes he grow up to be a snowman
before mother nature shortens his lifespan
come on kids roll me up tall
into three big snow balls
dress shades and hat so i don't catch a suntan

Winter Skin/ Summer Skin
Winter Skin
cap on head
Rudolph-nosed; my cheeks
rosy red
Summer Skin
my suntan lotion
like rivulets of warm butter
drips from me

Bright
summer
days ahead
swimming pool as
golden seaside haunt
children building castles
suntan folk blow warm kisses
blue sky chatter from wonderstruck
beach goer swept up by atmosphere
of oceanic green tide’s sweet ripple

the smell of suntan lotion
scream of seagulls
uneven sand walking
blowing up an inner tube forever
looking at swimming suits
loving it that we drove out here
without our parents
for the first time
feeling grown up
on the beach
welcoming summer
tasting freedom
The warm wind brushes against my face, what a delightful embrace. The warm summer air, not having a care. The sound of singing blue jays, the warm summer rays. The smell of an ocean breeze, allergies making me sneeze. Lying in the sun getting a suntan listening to my favorite band.

WEATHER WARNING
The sun, when shining very hot,
Can cause skin cancer, like as not.
So, if you’re out on sunny days,
Be mindful of its harmful rays.
And when sun-bathing by the ocean,
Use factor fifty suntan lotion

Up with the rise of the Sun
the day has barely pressed start;
Charged up and ready for fun
grabbing my swimsuit I depart;
The smell of chlorine
blended with suntan lotion;
Still Water so serene
Matching my emotions;
Swimming all afternoon
makes me so hungry,
Now under the Moon
dinner and a Drive In movie.

Heating begins with the rising of the sun
Greeting the tips of the tallest trees
Beating down to dry laundry on the line
Meeting high temps with climbing degrees
Wonder of your day at the beach
Under the protection of suntan lotion
Blunder not learning of the weather approaching
Thunder on its way coming in off the ocean
Summer
hot, muggy
swimming, surfing, drinking
heat, picnics, people, beaches
running, playing biking
sunburn, suntan
Summer
Big fellow
your tan is so dark
I thought you were
a mouse!
Out of the corner
of my eye
you darted
into the bushes
so fast
your form
was just a dart
from Cupid's arrow
that missed my heart.
I'm sorry I scare you so
I guess we could
never be
lovers.

If I never meet her again,
my whole life would be incomplete.
This one day was simply germane.
And for what reason did we meet?
In this imperfect world of ours,
a joy, everything was flawless.
How often have you spent hours
on a sandy beach, in full dress.
And feel very comfortable,
with a cool breeze off the ocean.
Things were very pleasurable,
and we didn't need suntan lotion.
~Without suntan lotion~
The balloon man silently left the park
Where are all the jump rope kids?
The hopscotch sidewalk is slowly fading
The children are covered in sweat
I see dried pecan trees, everyone fights for the fountain turn
Where are all the pretty flowers, why do the swings sit alone?
Why must it hurt -the sun -the burn -the tan,
Must it be summer all over again?

eating an ice cream
telling oneself life is sweet
lying on the beach
looking at the yachts
believing they are in reach
lying on the beach
watching the seagulls
having little accidents
lying on the beach
see the stranded whales
assuming they missed the tide
lying on the beach
getting a suntan
thinking it comes at no cost
lying on the beach

Listen to poem:
Bronze tint glints from fractured
surfaces, peppered planes of salted
quartzite, eons old:
attributes peculiar to rock,
to stone, whose strength
no soft tissue could ever know.
No iodine suntan ever quite
approached that shade, nor ivory
smile's glow blinded
as its glassy show:
To this flinty hardness mind
never swoops; no human heart,
though cruel, could ever reach
its crystal cold.
Destiny ran into my room today
"Grandmother, we had such fun
Swimming and playing in the sun"
Her hair a wavy asterisk
Her lips expounding joy
The burnished bronze of her
suntan
The skip in her walk
I relished her swimming pool
fun and her commitment
to laugh
so simply felt
I saw myself in her decades gone
and then I burned her joy in my eyes
and cherished that she came to
me to share her moment's delight
