life is different now
younger me smelled like suntan spray in summer
now I smell like off deep woods spray, a bummer
wood ticks love me, my parasites of choice
last week we counted ten on my cousin Joyce
it’s strange how life changes as we age
We don’t get wiser, can’t claim to be a sage
but our scents change as our teeth get long
life is different now, not right, not wrong
