lying on the beach

eating an ice cream 
telling oneself life is sweet 
lying on the beach 

looking at the yachts 
believing they are in reach 
lying on the beach 

watching the seagulls 
having little accidents
lying on the beach 

see the stranded whales 
assuming they missed the tide 
lying on the beach 

getting a suntan 
thinking it comes at no cost 
lying on the beach

I Am Anaya July 22, 2024 at 2:57 PM Senryus get a point across in a simple brief way, l'll start there. One & five state we lie to ourselves. Two has imagery & perspective. Three carefully put! (bird poop or shit:)lol. Four I think of plastic sea trash inside whales. With a higher tide seagulls will drop their loads in the sea. That solves problem #2. A yacht is not a necessity and life is not always sweet. No amount of lying on the beach will alter that. Suntans are overrated. Let’s enjoy what is sweet and have another ice cream.
