Fallen Mango

In Summer, a Fallen Mango
Cried, as it Failed to
Feed Someone’s Hunger.

It Dried in the Sun,
Buried in the Ground,
Crying all the Way.

Monsoon came, Showering
it’s Blessings of Life
And the Crying Mango Sprouted....

In the summer, a zebra exclaimed,
"That sweaty lion can keep his mane!
It's a pain 'round his neck
     When he's hotter than heck.
My white stripes will reflect the sun's rays!"...

     grinding sausage
       grinding teeth
     grinding pepper
       grinding ground beef

     elbow grease and grit
no room for a butterfly to flit…
     Wherefore is summer ‘a grind’
~ when to its beauty we are blind

Autumn Arrives
The torrential rains
Poured into September with a vengeance
As the black clouds were driven in
By autumn winds,
Giving summer a sudden farewell.
Crushing my fading petunias
As the leaves along the dike
Were painted all shades of gold
And pushed to the sodden ground....

Winter Signs
Winter frost

Icicles on the roof

New snow on the rooftops

Teaches us to be cautious and careful

Everyday a walk on clean sidewalks

Real cool weather

See the beauty of a frosty day

Intelligent ways of coping

Good days filled with sunshine

No ice melted by the sun

Summer a beautiful memory...

Summer a time for swimming
I love what warm weather brings!
Picnics in summer too,
I love to go on them with you!
9oclock and barely dark
oooh and those amusement parks!
Summer a wild storm,
the park has barely opened!
Keep the skys blue and clear
so we can get on that roller coaster!!
Summer a time for swimming
enjoy everything the season brings...

try to rest
Those sparse promises are put to bed
Yet they ripen like a lie
The County Kingdom
is made from last years chancers
Darkened coaches reach their destination
Our smokey trails
are honed like marbled mantles
Predictable success are nothing
compared to the chirping of the birds
Call Summer a lie
Those bright mornings
folds its wings and flies
I cannot sleep...

Premium Member The Sun Rose Red
Summer a time of heated fun
But no fun time for me because
The sun rose red again this morn
Red rising sun means trouble, Hun
Will storms come our way this hot day
Will it be another big gun
Maybe a knife or crazy wife
Lord intervene, protect loved ones
Let it be warning, time for pause
Again, this morn, the sun rose red
Let saying be a myth home spun...

Premium Member Dialogue of Autumn
She speaks of trees in morning mist
A promise of leaves all color kissed.

Discourse in shades of russet tones
Her loss of emerald leaves bemoans

Her cadence heard in whispering leaves
With cooling winds she summer grieves

In mellow tones her course made known
She squalls till all her leaves have blown

And with her branches bare to sky
Bids to summer a fond goodbye....

Summer, Even the Word
Summer, even the word is glorious

It lathers the tongue
like oil
glistening on sun toned skin

Summer, just the thought is radiant

White hot images of pink sand
are cooled
only by mist of sea foam salt

Summer, a sensual buffet of delights

Beach breeze tinted with coconut
carries the
joyous chatter of laughter and frolic

Summer is glorious...

Summer, a time of feasting Berry pies and fireflies Long evening walks.. Swimming holes, and fishing poles Salty taste of sweaty skin... Drinks with ice, watermelon slice Neighbors visiting on the porch... An ant parade, cool lemonade Walking barefoot in the grass.. Robin's nests and overnight guests Sleepy days with no agenda.. Summer
It is summer,a summer in autumn
This must be true,this must be true;
Those flowers are never late to blossom,
Because of the day I found you.

But does my love befit your grace
When your heart is far away and unfree?
And can our fear see the better days
When we are comfortable with misery?

It is summer,summer in autumn,
I've found this to be true,
If God is giving you a sea to fathom,
 Would you? Could you?

Air is warmly scented with flowers and hydrangea blooms in blue,
Unusual birds and butterflies appear in beautiful colors and vibrant hues.
Gusty thunderstorms envelope with wild winds that cool the steamy air.
Ultimate country fairs and shopping excursions are found everywhere.
Strawberries, blueberries and blackberries are robust, sweet and fresh.
Take time to enjoy the last stretch of summer, a time to relax and refresh!...

Summer Pleasure
Summer is always such a pleasure,
Summer is always a treasure.

Summer days that came and went,
Summer almost God sent.

Summer sun hot to behold.
Summer that is pure gold.

Summer beautiful to see,
Summer just for you and me.

Summer swims in a supervised lake,
Summer a picnic with a delicious cake.

Summer sing and dance,
Summer a good time too take a chance.

Summer a walk with a handsome friend,
Summer days without end.

Jack Frost-Acrostic
J anuary's cold makes December feel like spring!
A lways wanting it to be warm, but left yearning
C ause the ice and snow in the beginning
K eeps me excited, but depression starts winning

F or winter although beautiful, is far too long
R eminders of summer a distant memory now
O nly Jack Frost is now on patrol
S lowly, oh so slowly he releases control
T hen the frozen wasteland, yields to spring again.
