Written for the contest: Welcome August with an Acrostic, sponsored by Andrea Dietrich.

Air is warmly scented with flowers and hydrangea blooms in blue, Unusual birds and butterflies appear in beautiful colors and vibrant hues. Gusty thunderstorms envelope with wild winds that cool the steamy air. Ultimate country fairs and shopping excursions are found everywhere. Strawberries, blueberries and blackberries are robust, sweet and fresh. Take time to enjoy the last stretch of summer, a time to relax and refresh!

You did all the things I enjoy in short acrostic poetry: the Bolding of the first letters, the pretty images, the rhyming and also the grammar and punctuation all done so well. Congrats for your win

Oh Tania, what a delightful August Acrostic, the imagery is so lovely and I love the picture. i have a hydrangea in my front garden it is pink/purple in colour. It was given to me by my late friend Rose - I miss her friendship and wisdom so much think of her every single day. hugs Jan xx
