snowdrifts swallow fences
a single man’s shadow
stitches the silence
memories may heal
but some cut so very deep ~
stitches must remain

snowdrifts swallow fences
a single man’s shadow
stitches the silence
Pain stitches the smile
Facade that becomes a mask
Strings hold the pieces
The invisible not seen
But the blood makes it okay
Nature the suture
that palpably stitches
the wounded souls...

Thanks for keeping us in stitches
We'll remember you in laughs

To those of you who showed concern, thanks, but it was merely an attempt at
humor; how some would be glad to shut me up....thanks again, tom
my shoe shot into the air

CUT
Stitches
Big needles
I ran and I fell
The jar broke and cut me
Thirteen stitches in my hand
"Never run with glass in your hand"
I once had a Doc take some stitches
Apparently not without glitches
Because now when I sneeze
I jerk at the knees
And kick people in the britches
Writing of limericks he sure has a knack
Since he is gone I'll pick up the slack
I need a big word
Something really absurd
To keep us in stitches until he is back
Never flush
not tight fitting
a little bit out
not quite sitting
right with the world,
I always was an odd bit of knitting,
two plain stitches instead of purled
Words of the poet can be a salve that heals,
stitches that mend mankind's foibles.
The very breath of life contained in a phrase.

The Invisible unpicked the stitches
holding the broken pieces together
like loud music Love spilled like poetry
from the ordinary heart

Good old John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt's
Profoundly bawdy hysterical wit --
Leaves farmers in stitches
'Most burst their britches --
Too bad for this site his jokes are unfit
comical movie
had me laughing in stitches
crazy versus crazier
kookie zany men
driving across the country
short on common sense
a bag of money
returning to the owner
brings total chaos
He would eat puddings and pies galore
And kept swelling and swelling some more
So when his stitches popped
That's when his britches dropped
Rumpled and crumpled up on the floor
Huge Harry swims in his G string
Its stitches burst, he feels them ping
His gonads are so small
One hand covers them all
His massive dong - it’s left to swing!
Alive within my soul, toxic as can be
His words remove the stitches, that kept my heart a beat
True love was once the claim, if ever that were true
Sewing broken pieces was all he had to do
The tree Limb snapped off;
it fell on the Lumberjack,
he needed stitches
it hurt him very badly;
He kept working all day, tho!

He won the propaganda war.
They knew what they were fighting for,
but the sheep were led astray,
and there is no flock left today.
The wolf is all in stitches,
as the pack feasts on the riches.
Find Glitches In Stitches
In everyone and thing, we find glitches,
So God will gladly help us sew stitches,
And a dirty deal,
Does not appeal;
God likes keeping minds out of ditches.

Blue haired jokester woman with a hey hey hey
Kept me in stitches and laugh lines most of the day
I loved everything about her; we called her May Kay.
When she wanted to leave, we begged her to stay!
Saddled with this task
burden
beast
of razor colour scheme
years of crumbled paint
the dust in lungs
a poisoned dream
still clinging
holding breath
to clear the air
between the stitches of a seam

summer's breath still warm~
then the sky cracks like wet slate.
a gasp of cold air
stitches through the golden grass.
the earth shivers, half-undressed.
