There once was a president who

But Pence he could not subdue

Hallow was the love
She knitted
Woven empty
And Cupped up
As a broken egg shell
Playing the mind
As well as the man
Staging a play
Where we now tell
The tinted tale

Sheer Voices - Cinquain - Cinqku

water
his undertow
where seagulls still cry for
his touch on the stiffening mast
sails gone

sea swept —
his shipwreck
staging her oars
whispers in the water
she screams

Story of Beginning and End

Vortexes of energy swirling
Being born and dying

On this staging ground unleashed
and rest in peace

Bound in time
Defying the mortal spark
An age old crime
To be so bold in space

And weave through men
The story of beginning and end

Premium Member Cameo- To Be...Or Not

Is hades your sheol,
Quietus' staging post,
A chasm to separate
Paradise from hell-

Will you await alongside the lake,
Resurrection's second death-
Or be named in the book of life,
A Christian shibboleth.

As Keir Starmer came staging
You covid conniver!
Such lies lit this pyre'
Neath the sign of the Raven
He inferred of Keir coward craven'
Undeterred by a minder

The Beginning

Roused by a sharp and painful cry
A known tone from very nigh;
I'm amid the storm-safe in its eye
gracefully floating-where am I?

Regaining past as the oblivion fades
The arduous life staging numerous plays;
Though life seems unfair and hard to tew
Its a chance for me to start anew...

Dream In Dream Out (Inception)

Dream within a dream; don't stay long
Real life slows, but mind keeps aging
The feel of falling, wakes you strong
Dream within a dream, don't stay long
Consciousness knows, there's something wrong
Memories break...song is staging
Dream within a dream; don't stay long!
Real life slows...but mind keeps aging...

Remembrance of Creation: Marcel Marceau 1963

Remembrance of « Creation » 1963 (MM)
(Marcel Marceau 1963)

Face white-clown-painted
hands crossing invisibility
in a white-gloved glissade

a soft, silent shifting,
a step-slide
over non-existent windows, walls and doors

a glide into gesture

into signing
a seeking

into a stirring
a knowing
a genesis

the stage, his staging
the spotlight on
in a spotlit silence

Premium Member An Elegant Lady

Elevated and poised, exuding an air of grace she steps smartly, in a fluid motion. Perfectly balanced. like a lissome gazelle on tippy toes. Staging each step, she adds her own unique flare confident, yet feminine enough, to flow natural not practiced. With her sensual sassy swing she’s alluring, and yet, discernibly unapproachable! (Free Verse) 6/6/2018

Tethered

you brush up against my senses
staging a full frontal assault
sending me reeling, too much feeling
bouncing me off of the walls

you tether me with longing
a cord braided with hope and belief
you lasso my heart with loving
and love songs you sing just to me

you orchestrate my memory
in dreams where the magic befalls
burrowing yourself deep under my skin
oh the depths and the wonder of it all

Hush,is that a knock upon your door,
A guest,who is seeking more,
Someone,perhaps come to dine
A feast for two and then
Converse in fellowship divine

Fall has the middle wall,
In two,the veil is torn
Emnity has no call-
With Him,our cornerstone
No longer,we....forlorn

Is Hades your sheol
Quietus staging post
A chasm to separate,
Paradise from Hell

Will you await along the lake,
Resurrection's second death-
Or be a name in the Book of Life
His name on your forehead

Premium Member Staging the Night

Alabaster staircase framing chandeliers
Picassos, Renoirs, Van Goghs lining the walls
Marble floors, dazzling in the starlight
    Polished perfection staging the Night

  Dainties, delicacies, tray after tray
Sweetmeats, exotic fruits, more on the way
Debonair men in their tuxes emerge from limousines
Women goddesses wear sequined gowns, leggy queens

Playboys, playgirls of the Riviera making the scene
Jealousy left wondering what it all means

Premium Member The Way of the Blackberry

why would she do such a thing
right in the middle of the most
important party you'd ever thrown
a party that would make or break
your career your way of life for as
far as you could possibly peer into
the future my god doesn't she
know that staging is everything
and timing has gone the way of
the blackberry so ok get a grip
she went ahead and she did it
she threw up a hairball she's a
cat for crying out loud what do
you expect when you give her
red wine with fish

Staging Life

It's first lived out behind the curtains,
It's rehearsed in the chamber,
In the spotlight of the mind,
In the theatre of the heart,
A stage is set,
The script is acted,
The scenes are played,
They are run to the end,
Or paused to be played later,
If the stage hasn't been phased out,
If the dream hasn’t been cloaked by the night,
In the mind dreams are staged,
In the heart, a class system dwells.
