Demeanor
Frost is a fashionable folkway
Rather resented by Reason.

Terse, temperamental

Premium Member snippy snotty persnickety uptight and mean
my co-workers were snippy, snotty, persnickety, uptight and mean.
I had been discounting this for some time, but could not ignore any longer.
quitting my job was the right thing for me; I did not belong with mean girls....

Premium Member Disbelieving Beavers
That photo must be photoshopped said quite a few in a snippy way.
But I knew better, for I had observed the Big Dipper myself that day.
It is what I saw in the sky myself, I told the doubting misbelievers.
They still did not believe it, that’s why I call them beavers....

Premium Member He Knew Her So Well
You can make upside down cake with peaches! Wow!
I love the idea, said my snippy curt neighbor, Mrs. McDow.
That woman never has an original thought said my chow.
Sammy is not a normal dog, he does not do bow wow.
His wisdom is astonishing, his intelligence high-brow.
I was amazed that he knew so well old Mrs. McDow...

Premium Member I Made a Friend Tonight
        Snappy, Snippy, Slap-happy
           I made a friend tonight

        Loopy, Lippy, Lollapa-Lucy
           Sure feels good, alright

        Hearty-hardy, Uber-tea-party
We’ll fly high as a kite

        Golly-gee, Gosh-m’nee
Do it up right, her and me

snippy snappy sneezy snarly snail
met Melton Mickey, a piece of mail
preening privately in potter’s pail
saying Selena’s son Shawn should shortly sail

allowing alloys, alligators and aliens ale
believing beyond bunker boy’s blueblood bale
kicking kindhearted kiwi into kangaroo kale
amusing snippy snappy sneezy snarly snail...

Premium Member We Shall Have Our Own Christmas Tree
We shall have our own Christmas tree the animals said.
Wait! Warned an opossum “We should consult Big Red!”
We need on one else’s opinion, replied a snippy raccoon.
We have snow, happiness, goodwill, and a nice round full moon.
Santa Claus crept up quietly, enjoying this peaceful scene.
Along with Big Red came December’s active snow queen.
They are so purposeful, the queen whispered to Red.
May it always be this peaceful, Santa Claus readily said....

Premium Member Imagination Leaves My Station
My imagination has run off the track,
I truly doubt I will want to coax her back.
She never listens to my ideas of the day.
Preferring to lean in her own special way.
I have tried to tame her down, calling her bluff.
She is snippy and snarly, giving me guff.
Her ways are off the track, pure and plain.
Others might agree she is almost insane.
My muse rolls her eyes in jest at her present antic.
She’ll come back when she’s ready, so I will not panic....

The Dead Grandmas Society
An open letter to chicks like thee,
You wait until you're nearly sixty-three,
You'll end up talking like me,
You'll sound like the Dead Grandmas Society,
Fine-thinking women, very snippy,
Got no time for nasties and rudies,
"What's this?" "What's for tea?"
"A plate of good manners from me!"
(And the Dead Grandmas Society!),
A fact of life, real scary,
When you're nearly sixty-three,
Words appear from the clouds, prithee,
You'll sound like the Dead Grandmas Society...........
