Summer heat rising
Sweat lubricates the brow a
Single drop of sweat
Escapes the swipe of an arm
Lands on concrete to sizzle
Crackling to sizzle
Sausages, bacon and eggs, with
A coffee chaser

the swash of cold waves,
ankle-deep, twines burning sand -
infinite surging
oil of coconut
on darkening flesh, the sun -
surf and splash sizzle
Slap Ya Mamma all over
And soak 'em in beer
Next morning smell the mesquite
Sizzle-juce and fat
Impregnate the air
Love smok'n
Mmmmmmmm!
Her craft had a sizzle and spark,
Lighting up to cook after dark.
So his brainpan swam,
“That’s one succulent clam!”
A morsel, just right for the shark.
Please headline me in a Broadway Show
I want to be featured before I go
Sing? No not me.
Dance? Maybe. Let’s see.
I just want to dazzle, sizzle and glow.
Barbeques sizzle as spirits soar into the dazzling day.
Fun in the sun abounds as children ageless come out to play!

A chandelier hung frozen in time
Locked in a hazy Italian photograph
Memories spark and sizzle
But die out all too soon
In a grueling cycle of remembrance
Moonlight and bright eyes caress
Hands sizzle when they touch
A gaze says so much not less
Sweet words and lies are icing as such
Heartstrings sing on a right hunch
I am a cheerleader for life
For living breathing enthusiastic loving
For saying hello to strangers
For meeting new ideas with a zing and a sizzle
For jumping around whirling
A poem presses page
To pot I rant and rave
To Amsterdam sizzle
Smoke hash in the drizzle
It’s no small task
Just bitter-less tact
In driving my bees
To insanity please
Lips burning
HOT!
Take
Me away!
Burn my
Soul
Into
Yours
Caress
It
And
Comfort it
Start this
Fire and
Let
It burn

Zealots preach and I grow leerier
They deem bigots good and good folks inferior
I best join their endeavor
Or I'll sizzle forever
There's nothing as disturbing or drearier

Mellow moments make
Sensuous swirling stakes
Lovely lasting looks
Brightly booming books
Sizzle simple stance
Dazzle dreamy dance

Still, I have a severe fright for banshee
Once I felt, I saw her under a tree
It made my poor brain sizzle
And on bed, made me drizzle.
At night, hearing a shriek, I had to flee.
Step silent, listen
for the sizzle-slither
of a sister
snake who listens
soft for me, slides
among stones,
subsides
to undersides
of shadows, striking
soundless sinuous as
S, then slips
away

The sizzle, the hum
a sparkle then done
torched and tormented
love starts to run
Cut cords —
umbilicus lies
unintended
never truly mended
Scars grieve
still ~ bloodied
hearts leave
Trimming fat
off his soul
he searched
for the bone
With every
new slicing
his consciousness
honed
All waste in
the fire
to sizzle
and fry
Excesses
like smoke
rise forgotten

cool, moist breeze blowing
sweat-soaked smiles light up faces
airborne petrichor
wailing wind whooshes
fluttering clothes flap in joy
botox treat for earth
drizzle, soft sizzle
scattering kids on the run
monsoon makes its mark
Quatrain #803:
ROSE
Rose pink ripple in the dawn light,
Opt pure sparkle as rapture sights;
See plain dazzle that beauty prompts,
Etch deep sizzle as joy takes flights.
