Tottering
I have lost my way to you
Moving with new finger
My days are at sixes and sevens
Yet I am enjoying the waves....

Comfort and bright light
Never shading the obscure
Blind to love awakening
Listening to truth
Keeping my eyes on over
Being concerned with brightness

Fragments of My Heart
I have bared it time and again
with the innocence of a child,
and showed you all my grief and pain
a bleeding heart that smiles,
now show me once your concealed heart
to find what lies there
fragments of this numb heart,do you still share.

As the Cats Celebrate Christmas
Came home early and what do I see
but two bad kitties in a knocked over tree!

Looking so innocent off they run
and now the clean-up has begun.

I can't stay mad at them for long
but the broken ornaments-that's just wrong!

Whenever you roll your dices, you get sixes.
You always win at rummy.
You form the most matched sets.
I sometimes feel like a dummy.

When we collect points,
You quit when I'm leading.
I'm all proud, loud and voiced,
But I think it's you who's winning.

Thank you for making me smile
In my gloomy time....

Critical Creations
David J Walker

All of these eyes
These words
Surfacing for attention

Arriving in Wrhymes of
twos and threes
Arriving with bad baggage in
		Sixes and sevens
but no intentions

The no knowing of certain
And uncertain
Definitions

It’s the same for
	Every beginning of

She Sold Her Soul In a Bathroom Mirror
Wicked Witches vicious Wishes
Worst of Curses Hexed
Paranormal Victim Witness
Poltergeist are Vexed
Rows of Sixes Superstitious
Sacred Scrolls and text
I see dishes fly malicious
And She is surely next.
Sold Her Soul and burnt the Bridges-
The Devils love Her Best!

Zombie
Cold as ice ,
she tossed the dice
Knowing where she lay ,
all the sixes came in her way

Violet lips those noticeable blues,
rosy roman ,important cues
That put on smile no one could miss
fighting that one evil hiss,

For who could curve up that line
when there were others all across in the opposite sign,

Wonder as you may the meaning of these words
but only those superior ones can understand,
those one in a million among their herds.....

Premium Member Ten Times Ten Twirling Frog
Ten-times-twenty twirling frog was from Mathematics Town.
She danced her numbers better than any clown.
She spun sixes and sevens as if they were not straight.
I was impressed she could multiply up to twenty-eight.

I saw her divide sixty-four-thousand-and-twenty-two
By many numbers that I could never hope to do.
I do not do math, it is not my talent, interest, or game.
So I am glad we have ten-times-twenty, who has an appropriate name....

Premium Member He Was Upbeat To the End
Many who have had cancer are not as upbeat as he.
He never concentrated on it, said aunt Wiladee.
When others tried to say poor you and that kind of stuff.
He said come play some games, he was upbeat, sure enough.

He lasted longer than most who develop this deadly disease.
Having good friends come in to visit in sixes, twos and threes.
His parents kept his spirits up, he was joyful to the end.
Best of all, he never hurt his family, class or his best friend....

Premium Member Girl Is Attacked By Playing Cards
The sobbing girl spent fifteen minutes gasping
Trying to get out words that made sense
Her chest was heaving, and her speech was blubbery
What happened? The Queen of Spades asked.

I know said the Jack of Diamonds. She was attacked.
By whom?
The fours, sixes, two’s, and sevens.
Why?
No one knows.

Queen of Spades was tired of these thugs.
There will be consequences, she said.
We do not want people to think that playing cards are thugs.
Too late, said the child....

The Countdown
At ten, I have composure to maintain
At nine, I know the chance is all but mine
At eight, I beat back fears and thoughts of a one-eighty
At seven, I am at sixes and sevens
At six, I draw my know-how and pull all of my tricks
At five, it is lose or win, die or survive
At four, all my strength is brought to the fore
At three, I am careful and carefree
At two, I am at point of no return but follow through
At one, it was easier said now it’s done
At zero, I am either a trier or a hero...
