I follow its trace
lines drift out,

Heart’s desire, our mind translates,
soul’s intent, in the void states,

A Poet’s Prayer
Although my soul may depart in darkness,
I pray it live on through my poesy’s light,
for I have loved shaping verse too warmly
ever to fear the cold eternal night.
