Life is the dancer,
you are the dance
you can seize the day
and take a chance
I'm tired of running
I just want this chance
I just want to dance...
Quatrain #141:
DARE
Start with pure heart to seize the day:
Dare to work art in a fond way.

Turn your head
shadows are a forming
Dream softly
seize the day
the morning light awakens
many Eurydice dawns welcome you
country adieus adorn you
Putin on the ritz -
He’s crackers,
Without pizzazz,
the cheese.
Without Putin -
Ukranians ease,
Seize the day,
Say, “Yes, please,” -
to better reality.

I got the spark, lighting the way
I got the will, to seize the day
I got the
I got the
I got the power, strong and vast
Courage and hope, we’ll shape the past

a chronicle
perhaps
a curtain..
to be
unveiled
or
a painting
to complete:
a lyric
still to write,
music
to delight...

Surprise! six inches fell
Silently through the night,
Secretly, unforeseen.
School cancelled, sleds are launched
Salt brine is useless now.
Stay home, no shoveling,
Sunshine will seize the day.
Life is more than bland existence
Let thy spark not fade away,
Meet ennui with firm resistance
Thank the Lord and seize the day.

Yesterday is gone,
Tomorrow isn't here,
The day that we live in,
Is what we should hold dear,
Don't disregard the future,
Or forget about the past,
Live to be the best you can,
And to make this one day last
Knowing this,
We wail and fret,
Holding moments,
We soon forget,
That days are lost,
Asking Why,
Why must we ask,
Until we die,
Let now be now,
Seize the day,
Carpet diem,
And come what may.

fooled
by deception,
bigotry and hate
set out
to seize the day...
totally unaware
they would encounter
justice...peace...love...
erupting from each step
along the way
they would dare:
truth prevails...
never fails...
Only yesterday today was in tomorrow -
Shall I bend backwards quick enough to seize the day!?
And then start contemplating, how -
I’d snatch the brief power of now?!

Bite Size
12 and 8 syllables
Don't wait for tomorrow
You will left behind
Take your first step today
So you will have work to start
Don't tarry yet, don't haste
Don't look at the clock
But follow its track
Do something worthwhile
To make your day bright.
Seize the moment,
Seize the day,
Time is fleeting
So they say.
Time is flying,
Time is flowing
Onward to the sunset,
In an instant 'twill be going.
Do not rage
Against the torrent,
The best of life
Is in the moment.
We splashed in puddles, danced in rain,
and laughed; though soaking wet, we knew
that come what may, each day's to live -
so seize the day, and don't be blue!
written 6th September for Sara's A Rainy Day contest - inspired by Picture Two
Seize the day!
That's what they're telling me.
What for?
I'm too melancholy today.
What is there to seize?
Grab a'hold with both hands and all that....
Not today.
No!
I'd rather stay in bed.
My bed is what i'm seizing today.
All day!
Life is so Precarious...
So Tenuous...
So Fleeting...
I would be happy right now...
Just to open my eyes...
And SEIZE the Day....

Nothing can separate us from God's love
Smile, hold hands with someone special
Genuinely care for others
Really inquire of their day
Walk in the mud, pick flowers
Listen to the sounds of nature
Feel the breeze on your skin
Make all those you meet, feel valued
A
Force
Beyond
Powerful
Free will liberty
Decisions without hesitate
Unseen elements that control the mankind future
Diversity of stances and beliefs, seize the day to leave a worthy legacy

Hope may wane
and wishes fade
but art forever keeps
Dawn till dusk
till dawn again
incessance buried deep
Sculptors sculpt
and painters paint
as writers seize the day
Creation’s bridge
its toll insures
—tomorrow’s yesterday
