Surprise! six inches fell Silently through the night, Secretly, unforeseen. School cancelled, sleds are launched Salt brine is useless now. Stay home, no shoveling, Sunshine will seize the day.

Thanks, Kim. Likewise, most teacher/administrators. Parents on the other hand are handed a responsibility to find daycare, usually relatives. Looks like schools in our neighborhood may get quite a bit of snow and ice this weekend, furthering their Christmas vacation.

Thank you thriveni, appreciate the reply. They have been favored winter words from first grade...I taught school for forty years after sixteen years of "learnin" how. Happy New Year.

I thank you, Andrea for the placement. Pleiades are one of my favorite forms. Happy New Year - I'm busy taking down trees today - inside and outside. Thanks be to God, the wind has finally died down here in S. Indiana.
