We live the sea
False hopes entrap the searchers
Wet fragrant clothing...

Lost
Cold
alone
afraid; yet
still scampering.
hoping searchers last
throughout the chilling night.
never stop moving; praying
Great master lead me onto paths
where volunteers continue searching.
Lift My voice to sing; that I may be found!...

surrounded
by the inquisitive
the thinkers, searchers
binky dependent
“toddleresque”
Inquisitors
exploring
in tactile glee
a world of wonder.

I am blessed
for they invite me
to feel
to investigate
the simplicity
of knowledge.

In the Wind
God created distance,
so the wounded could go home

The searchers and the dreamers,
the ones born bound to roam

He then laid down the open plain,
below a towering sky

And set his voice into the wind
—for pilgrims such as I

Coyote

Night shift, unseen, predatory
creatures skulking in darkness
coats glistening in cold moonlight,
takers amid the searchers
awakening the stench of fear
within the city limits.

Sheep
Science's
And our World's
Great Minds
Thinker's
Mathematics
The purveyors
Searchers
Answer providers
Live a different consciousness
To us mere mortals
I wonder if the more the brain can comprehend
Fulfills or depresses them
Like trivial pursuits
Drown the bleating Sheep...

Dropping Fast
Racing the dark from Albuquerque to Flagstaff
  old questions trailed behind me

The highway marked with broken dreams
  of searchers long ago

As Gallup filled my rearview mirror
the sun reached out and grabbed me

My last horizon dropping fast
  —the finish line aglow

The Searchers
Looking for lunch in all the wrong places,
Unloved, hungry eyes set in introverted faces,
There’s spirit there but only traces,
Hunting for signs of love from all races,
God uses people to dispense His Graces.
Where am I among these human cases?
One small step may be the basis,
Of many far reaching paces.
...Dare I.. ?...

Odes To Everything and Nothing
Ode to joy,
Ode to the forests
And the gravel!
Ode to everything we,
The Searchers,
Have searched for and created for!
Ode to Marx,
We share our sorrows
In pain,
In blood,
In lust.
Share the usurpers throne,
Share it all,
The thorns,
The shrubs,
The fences,
All things innate,
All things beautiful,
All things....

Beliefs
Stand shattered
By those searching
To quench desires on
Unfulfilling old paths..

There is a path..however
Older than old and
New as the present moment
Which stands ready
For our recognition..

Recognized it appears
As no path at all
This is the Recognition of
Sages and searchers
Startled to find they were
Already that for which
We all search......

The Ocean
It’s hard for us to understand
Or really ascertain
The vastness of the ocean,
For it’s taxing to the brain.

However, though our comprehension
May those gray cells strain,
There is a sad example
To help realization reign.

For an ocean, like a monster,
Who is guarding its domain,
Has just opened up its giant maw
And swallowed up a plane.

It’s barely left a crumb or two
For searchers to obtain;
And such enormity might make
Awareness more mundane....

How dare you peek inside a gamer’s den! A realm where magic and weapons fight dragons. A high-tech cubicle where virtual reality reigns. This wonderful dream life will become a world of perpetual adventure when the last piece of the puzzle is found. Searchers and AI, get down to work! (Well, I will bet more on robots.) To achieve pure perfection, it just misses a thing: Yes, virtual food! Indeed, it will be the best of both worlds.

When a stranger calls,
the shining
city lights
die hard
behind enemy lines.

I walk the line
out of the past
roots,
where the red fern grows
in cold blood
of mice and men.

The thin red line
short cuts
a nightmare on Elm Street.
The searchers
don't look now
within these walls.

In the heat of the night,
the illusionist
cast away
titanic
cries and whispers.

The silence of the lambs
never cry wolf
while you were sleeping.

(Each line is a separate movie title.)...
